Great post. I always find that running burns more in my case but then I haven't tried the same speeds for walking and running.

Tough love is what I need to at the moment so wouldn't mind giving and getting some of that tough love. :-)

What a fantastic achievement!! I am also building up on my runs and like you was surprised that I could run 5ks. I did 6ks yesterday and it feels awesome. Your story is encouraging me to continue with it. Thanks for sharing :-) Well done.

@ Peanutbutter  totally agree! That's nice to get new shoes. I bought my latest pair about a month ago and they are awesome!! Just makes working out so much more fun and your feet feel bouncier.

Oats are usually quite filling and can last you a while. Sometimes yoplait yogurt range with a muesli range of cereal can also add to the menu to change it up. Another option would be a slice of wholegrain toast with tomato or boiled egg. You can add a piece of fruit to the range.

Thanks :-) It's my tummy where the most weight is held. I would really like to work on it but I know I have to get rid of the extra weight before I can concentrate on toning etc and I am hoping the tummy would be looking much smaller by then. Will check out those resources :-)

Hi peanutbutterx, I've been on the over side of the normal BMI. Would be great to be in the normal range and then work on body fat percentage.
