  • I bring lunch meat and soft taco shells and make a sort of wrap out of it. Sometimes I bring lettuce and maybe some dressing as well.
  • Get fitted for the proper shoes and just go slow!! Shoes that are a few years old and have been around the block are not adequate for running. If you can't talk while running then you are running too fast. So slow down and wear the right shoes and everything should be fine after that.
  • I am close to 285 and just ran 5mi this afternoon. Being overweight doesn't have to mean you can't run. Follow C25K, go to a running store and get fitted for a pair of running shoes!! Very important!! Also read Running for Mortals, very good book and very informative.
