I agree, definitely see your doctor/ortho. You don't want it to turn into something more serious while you're still working out on it. (I'm the same - I'll workout through an in jury before I go to the Doc.)

Today is now my 75th day, and I'm still happily accepting friend requests.

Sweet 'n Low is the WORST! I, too, prefer the Yellow chemicals and the Blue chemicals (splenda and nutra sweet), but the pink chemicals gotta go.
-
I often check CalorieKing.com. They have a great database.

These guys have way more experience and knowledge than me, but I figured I'd throw in my weight routine that I do at home. I use free weights only. I do one set of each all the way through so I don't have to worry about resting a muscle before I use it again. I just push through my routine (plus abs/planks), so my heart…

Yup.

HAHA! Love this! I like it. Not a fan of it on the shoulders or back, but if my boyfriend (now husband) was hairy all over I wouldn't have broken up with him. He'd probably be really self conscious of it. I also don't mind a hairless chest. I just like men, OK? lol

I put my workout clothes on. Sometimes I'm in them for a few hours before I get around to exercising (I blame Facebook and YouTube), but once I have them on, I know I'll be working out eventually.
-
I thought I was eating 1200 calories (I don't make it a point to eat back my exercise calories, but sometimes I do eat some back) until I saw a post on including the oil you cook with. It never really dawned on me (yet it's so obvious), because of that I'm taking in about 1300-1400 calories a day plus exercise (cardio and…

Yes, but you're not on MFP to lose weight, silly.
-
You can use freecycle.org to try and get a collection of weights started, and possibly some workout DVD's.
-
If you already have a HRM use it, then compare it to sites online - including MFP (preferably that ask for your age, sex, height and weight - http://nutrition.bizcalcs.com/Calculator.asp?Calc=Calories-Burned-Today) and see what kind of average you come up with.
-
I would disagree that they are not for classes (aerobics, I assume), lifting (you can really get your heart rate pumping lifting weights), intervals (aren't intervals cardio?) and walking (as long as you can walk as fast as you need to get your HRM to count your calories, usually around 120 BPM - estimated). As long as…

I used to hate drinking water, until I started adding fresh lemon to it. I'd just drop a slice right into my mug. Eventually I didn't need the lemon anymore and now I can drink water fine. But there are also alternatives. I don't know what the MFP consensus is about adding flavors to your water, but what about some Crystal…

Well, let's try some of these suggestions and see if we can find something that helps us!

It matters because if I'm supposed to feel it on my quad (singular) I want to know if it should be the front or the back, that I'm using proper form so I don't injure myself. I'm just doing a static lunge. And of course I am training both legs.
-
It's really frustrating. I don't want to start hating lunges and not doing them because I know they are valuable. Kinda like finding the sweet spot for weight loss!
-
The image shows only the front leg muscles highlighted. I tend to feel it in my back quad and rarely in my front so I will definitely take all of your advice on form. Thank you!
-
So my 1200 calories a day have been more than I thought they were! (Sometimes it's better to do a search than start a new thread! lol) At least my exercise calories have been sopping up the extra oil for the most part.
-
I have oatmeal, yellow chemicals (splenda), cinnamon, salt and a small pat of butter or two. It's so good, sometimes I'll eat it twice a day.
-
I didn't know this when the Doc put me on it and got curious when my pants stopped fitting and I was gaining all of this weight in my stomach, not all over my body as usual. As soon as learned it was the seroquoel I stopped taking it immediately. Now I'm having a hell of a time getting that weight OFF!
-
I make my oatmeal with the yellow chemicals (splenda), cinnamon, salt and a pat or two of butter and it's delish. Sometimes I'll have it twice a day!
-
I hope you don't mind, but I just shared this quote on my Facebook page (not as my own) and people are definitely agreeing with it, talking about social ramifications, food addiction (from a friend who works with addicts) and the like. It's opened a very interesting dialog.

This would explain why my driving habits have become dangerous. I've always been a safe, cautious driver, but in 2012 I pulled out in front of a car without looking, didn't put my car into first gear when parked on a sloped driveway and despite the e-brake being on, my car still rolled into the back of a truck, then I…

I really like that idea. I have unpredictable weekend dinners, usually last-minute invites to the in-laws, and I never know what to expect. Or my husband cooks 600+ calorie burritos! :noway:
-
I don't know why it doesn't have it's own section on the food pyramid... I have 2 Tbsp just about everyday (and I lick every drop off of the spoon and the knife I spread it with) and wash it down with milk. The milk leaves me feeling satisfied and "done". Having the lingering taste of peanut butter in my mouth just makes…

And you'll probably look 120.
-
I do as well. Not even counting an exercise deficit. Exercise quells my appetite.
-
That number just seems unreal to me. 2150 for a 5' woman? Wow. Everyone seems to say we need 2000 calories a day! (give or take)
