Good advice! That water weight can be so discouraging...

:) Thanks for the add!

Hi Nancy! I can definitely understand your struggles! This time I'm going to incorporate exercise and with the help of an RD, I'm going to focus more on my ratios of carb, protein, and fat for weight loss instead of just the calorie part. I hope you are able to reach your goals too. We're in this together. Feel free to add…

Thank you for this! I love #6 - 'overeating is a public confession that you lack self control'.

I'm in too! It's great to remember that everything doesn't have to start on the first day of a month but change can happen anytime.

I'm in too!

Just did 1st day of level 3! It took me 15 days to get through level 2 and I think I could do level 3 through January. It is challenging!

I started the 30 Day Shred on December 1st @ 149.5 pounds and today I weighed in @ 146. My (short-term) goal is to get to 144 by December 31st. I've been doing cardio as well and eating net calories of 1500-1700 a day.

I'm so proud of myself right now. I actually started to the Shred earlier today and then quit because I just didn't feel like it and my mind wasn't focusing. Half an hour ago, I was on the message boards here on MFP and got the motivation to go back and do it...and I did! Day 16 out of 17! Yea!!!

I would up the activity level setting...what you described does not sound like "lightly active". Also, I wouldn't eat below your BMR. I have increased the calories I eat from what MFP says I should because I don't want to be stuck eating a low amount of calories in maintainence.

It's going to take me a little longer to get good at level 2 but I do enjoy a challenging workout.

Day 6 of level one--last day of level 1!!! Today my hubby decided he would show me up and did the whole thing with me...but with NO weights ( I told him to use cans/bottles but he didn't wan't to). And the funny part is that he was sweating by the end. Jillian kicked his butt :)

Day 5 of level 1 done!!! I'm moving on to level two on day 7. I can't wait! Everyone is doing a great job - let's keep it up and "finish strong" as Jillian says :)

Day 3 --I could tell a major difference between today and the first two days. I wasn't as short of breath. I'm still doing the push ups the easy way and I hope to be able to do at least one full set before I finish level 1. I'm also jogging two miles before doing the Shred and that is getting me more warmed up for it. I…

I'm right there with you! I did my first day yesterday (after about a year of not doing the Shred). I was so sore this morning. I kept telling myself before I started the video today for day 2 that the soreness will eventually go down. I really didn't feel sore during the video, but now I do again. I hate feeling sore and…
