No that is not the best thing to tell someone. If they are following the way MFP is set up they should be eating back exercise calories at least 1/2 of them if you think the burn amount is too high.

My strategy will be to eat lots of great food, enjoy my friends and family, eat some more food, probably have a couple drinks, log it and move on to July 5th

Wake up at 3:30 am, eat my first meal around 1 or 2 pm, followed by my largest meal is almost always my dinner followed by dessert eaten in bed and well I've lost a little weight and fat.

35 lbs in 8 weeks is great be proud of that. I started at 285 lbs and it took me about 4 to 5 months to lose 35 lbs. It takes time, I understand wanting it off immediately but that is not realistic. Buckled yourself in for a long ride but one worth every moment. Weight will fluctuate that you need to get used to, if you…

The responses were correcting information, pickles can be a good to snack on if you enjoy them. But letting you and others that read this believe there are 0 calorie foods isn't helpful. And for common sense... well it's true, it's something that is not used enough :flowerforyou:

Really 0 calories? I had to go check the pickles I have: Serving size: 1 oz (28 g) = about 3/4 of a spear Calories 5 So no they are not 0 calorie, they are low calorie

It can be achieved it takes time, perseverance as you said, and remembering that we aren't perfect. One of the hardest things for me to learn this time around is I don't have to be perfect I just have to show up and be consistent. Don't focus on where you were last time, focus on where you are going this time and what you…

Great work! You will get there!

The advice is what you already put in here: What are you cleansing? If you are at a plateau check your logging, make a slight adjustment in your intake, up your activity or intensity.

She asked for help, that helps includes letting her know that you don't have to go low carb to be successful. As for your defensive attitude ..You might want to eat some carbs, I heard they help with anger issues

Why not just eat at a reasonable deficit, unless you have a medical condition stop worrying about sugar. And do this in a way that you won't be making a post next year saying you are back to try again. Check out the link that Fatdoobs gave you.

Thank you everyone! I'm very proud of what I've accomplished but anyone can do it, it takes you wanting to stick with it, making some small changes, be consistent and have lots of patience. Oh and eat all the food just less of it!

Well I only lost 113 lbs but yes this dessert is my latest adventure in making homemade ice cream. It's Caramel Bourbon Nutter Butter Ice cream with of course some homemade caramel sauce drizzled on top and 1 nutter butter cookie. Nutter Butters are one of my favorite cookies. Before I started I could eat the whole package…

Stop with the guilt it's food! You need to change the relationship you have with food and stop being overly restrictive. Stop thinking of this as being "on a diet" those end and usually result in frustration, giving up because it's too hard. Check my diary you will see everything from veggies, fruit, pizza, ice cream and…

Welcome! You can do this, it takes lots of patience and being consistent. Here's some information & links that you should read that will help: Log your food accurately and honestly. Go for 80% good choices the other 20% don't worry so much about. I eat lots of delicious food and have consistently lost. Keep it simple find…

Take the time read the links there's lots of good information there. My goal has always been to eat as much as I could and still lose it keeps me happy.

Can you open your food diary that would help. Eat more nutrient dense food it's easy getting to 1200, trust me I can do that with my eyes closed standing on my head :)
-
Get a digital food scale that will help with accuracy, and that's too few 1200 is too few
-
Well if you want to do this healthy this time you need to eat more than 1000-1200 calories. For example, I'm 42 years old, menopausal and I eat 1600-1900 calories daily and have lost a little weight.
-
Why must I eat clean to have success? I mean I do wash my veggies and stuff before I eat it, and only eat off the floor if under 5 seconds.. cause well that's acceptable. Guess I will never be successful dammit!

I'm coming back in because I just saw you post in another thread you were eating 1000 - 1200 calories, so my advice to continue what you are doing is not good. Please read the links I gave earlier, find a REASONABLE calories deficit, stop blaming carbs and anything else. Stop looking for quick fixes.
