  • Welcome back! I just started back myself after gaining about 6 pounds over the holidays. I just feel like if I keep letting things go then the scale will creep back up. I'm not perfect, but I think logging in what I eat everyday is very eye opening and will be a big help overall
  • Also scheduled for sleeve surgery on the 31st. I look forward to hearing how you all are doing by the time I go in. I'm definitely nervous as well, but I think it's only natural. Good luck to all.
  • I'm still here. I lost 30 pounds last year. I'd like to lose the same amount this year, if not more. I know there are things I can do to help that along. I took a much needed break from logging while I was on vacation so I feel like I'm ready to tackle this upcoming year.
  • Reecee27: Wow, struggling with a loss and not gaining is a NSV for sure! I wish you luck as you get back on track. Rlv2: At least you are keeping up with the running. That is a huge plus. I think to help with the long haul just make little changes each day, focus each week on something different like getting in your water…
  • Congratulations! You look awesome. You have worked hard and it shows!
  • I generally hold mine in my hand when I walk and sometimes I'll go up to the high school track so I know it's pretty accurate on there but I guess it can definitely be off if in your pocket.
  • I have older Nano (the small square ones) and just a few weeks ago it told me I had a software update. I did the update and the Nike Plus was on there. I absolutely love it! You put some initial information in like weight, age, etc. and then it tracks either walks or runs. The data is distance, time, calories burned and…
  • Definitely think this is something everybody should be taking a look at and to keep evaluating over time. I know myself I use the MFP settings. Mostly because when I first started I just didn't have the knowledge about all this stuff. I have gone online and used a few other methods to see where my numbers fall. I think…
  • congrats on job well done! you are definitely an inspiration to others!
  • Hum, I'm liking #2 or 6 and also 8
  • Great job! Good for you.
  • I'm here! I started my journey on MFP in January. Since starting, I've only lost 24 pounds. I lost 10 pounds between July 2012 and January 2013 so in total, I've lost 34 pounds. My loss has been much slower than I thought but I'm still proud of what I've accomplished. I keep reminding myself everyday that this is not a…
  • I just checked out the ThredUp site. Looks like some good things on there. thanks.
  • what a nice story. I don't have any "real life" friends on this journey with me but I do have a friend who lost weight and is maintaining. She started with the little things like give up regular soda etc. and thats how I really started. So I can get encouragement from her but it would be nice to have a buddy doing this…
  • Congrats. Not only on the weight loss, but also for maintaining that loss for a year now. Very motivational. I can't wait til the day when I can say I've lost 100 pounds and kept it off! Bravo.
  • Congrats....that's a big deal.....and I'm sure something that made you very happy!

  • great job. congrats on your weight loss. Very inspiring. I try to pick one person a day to inspire me and today it's you. I'm struggling now that it's summertime (vacation/life/bbq's/parties/lots of food) but I'm still plugging away. I could say the same thing next year at this time but hopefully I'll have lost more…
  • Great goals ladies. As for which kind of exercise, well, the easiest thing for me to do and something I truely love is walking. I put my ipod on and it relaxes and energizes me all at the same time. I may start to throw zumba in there at least once a week which will help give the overall body a workout and something I did…

  • I think what I find to be hard or a trigger is when I actually bake and/or cook. I have a few events where I'm bringing desert and I'm more apt to eat it knowing I made it. Same thing with cooking. We had such hectic schedules the last few weeks of school with the kids and ate allot of pizza or other fast type foods and…
  • congrats on your achievement so far. thanks for inspiring!!
  • Congrats on your loss. You look great!

  • I just read my June goals and sadly I have not lost the 8 pounds I wanted. But I also have not walked each week for at least 3 times like I said I would so it's all relative. I've decided to just try my best and see what I can do in July.
  • Congrats. You are very inspiring. I wish you much success in the future maintaining what you have lost and with your new career interests.
  • I'm glad to hear we are still working here. I''ve gotten myself a bit off track this past week. I was so busy with my daughter's musical she was in with tech and then the shows and all the backstage stuff I was doing and then this week although it was gorgeous out, I just didn't get out and walk. Shame on me because it's…
  • good for you. I just bought a new shirt from Torrid the other day. I don't even think I'd have gone in that store if I had not lost the weight I did. I've bought just a couple new shirts and I pulled out two or three from my closet that I wouldn't wear because I didn't like the way they looked. Pretty cool.
  • congrats. you look great.
  • Awesome job. I hope I can stay as committed as you are. I had decided I'm I this for the long haul and it's nice to see if you stick with it you will see results. Congrats
