Very inspirational. I hope in a year I have half as much progress. You can just see your confidence in each pic during your progress.

congrats that's awesome

My work was starting a program called 10 Weeks til the New U. They have it every year but this year another co-worker asked if I was thinking about going to the meeting since we had both been talking about how much weight we gained over the holidays. I couldn't make the first meeting but another co-worker told me about…

Very noticeable Julie....way to go

If you get up to go to the bathroom, take a short walk before returning to your seat!

I'm still working at this. And while I'm coming in under calories most days, I need to work on what I eat as well. I definitely could do better although I have been making much better choices and definitely choosing things I would not have in the past. And even if I'm having chips or fries or something not so good for you,…

I've given thought to this before but ultimately came to the conclusion I would not. My reason being that even with the surgery, you have to make changes in your life. You have to change the way you eat. You need to exercise. It has to be a lifetime commitment. So I guess my main thought is if you are willing to do it for…

Welcome! I've been on this journey since the beginning of January and have lost about 14 pounds so far. Even though it's coming off slow, I'm okay with that. remember, this is about the long-term, long-distance. It's not a sprint to the finish line. And this is not a diet. It has to be a new way of life. And unless you are…

everybody is looking great...definitely see a difference. Unfortunately, I did not take any before shots. I might take some progress shots though...we shall see.

I know it's hard when you can't see a difference...but every pound, even one or two makes a difference. You have accomplished allot so far. Keep up the good work!

sometimes when i put my lunch together in the morning (salad w/ protein, etc) I'll log it in or if I plan a dinner then I'll log it in and see how many calories I have left for my other meals. It certainly cant hurt and you can always go back and revise if you ate less or more

Look at all of these NSV's...very encouraging. Here's mine: This past weekend I was away at a dance competition with my daughter. I was so afraid of what my totals would look like since I couldn't plan my meals like I normally do and since I knew I would be grabbing a snack during the day instead of eating regular meal.…

Happy One Year...and congrats on a great job....very inspiring!

I was going to say walk as well....looks like you've done some of that....but I love the idea of get fit while you sit as a change up or something to do on a non-cardio day...

Way to go....and I love the lessons learned.....

I try to save enough calories to have a snack. But I wait until the kids go to bed and then I have something while watching tv. Unless I'm really full which is not often......we had chili the other night and for some reason I was really full so I skipped my nightly treat. Last night I had strawberries and some cool whip.…

good ideas ladies. I've been trying to do the zumba for xbox and it's hard to do w/o the extra support. I like the idea of wrapping or putting my regular bra on and then a sports bra over that....just so I don't have to invest in an expensive one right now.

congrats on 100 pounds....

I'm hoping to be at the 10 lb. mark next week. I like the idea of rewarding for every 10 pounds....When I hit the 100 lb. mark I want the hubby to take me away for a weekend.

congrats...keep up the good work

I feel the same way some days. And while I find the success stories motivational and inspiring at times I also read those stories and think they've lost more per week than I have or they met their 100+ goal in about a year and at the rate I'm losing that's just not going to happen for me. On the other hand, though, when I…

I've tried to read the success stories everyday and find one person who will inspire or motivate me for the day. At work, we have a 10 week program "healthy u" and I've been going to the meetings each Thursday. It helps motivate me to get through the next week.

I'm at the same weight loss as you (8 pounds) and I don't really see a difference. I'm just focusing right now on small goals, like I want to hit the 10 pound mark next week and go from there. Gosh, I sure hope that at 15 pounds I can fit back into some of the things I thought was too tight....I have some things in my…

good for you! Keep up the good work.....and the dress is lovely.

Congratulations! Everyday I pick a success story to inspire me and today it's you. Thanks for being an inspiration.

I'm curious about this myself. Since I've started I've eaten more salads, incorporated more yogart and tried to find healthier snacks but I'm also eating regular (non-diet) foods/meals and just measuring amounts, watching portion sizes and counting the calories. I seem to be doing ok losing but I'm wondering if I can…

I play bunco once of month. So Friday I ate light to save enough calories. I took small amounts of everything and I looked up calories and put as much as I could into mfp. And I didn't do too bad, alcohol included. I think it's fine if you have an event that you know of ahead of time. And if you have something that comes…

Congrats....great job...thanks for sharing your story. One of the things i really hate is to have my picture taken but now that I see how you documented your loss and mini successes I think it's something I NEED to do for myself.
