5'7" - heaviest was 194+, current/lower weight pics are between 168 and 172. It's been a journey, but I keep getting stronger and I'm proud of my results!

Cinnamon Halo top!

Bless Snapchat filters for days when I'm not wearing makeup lmao

I exceed my protein goal most days, tbh! Greek yogurt, eggs, chicken/turkey, quinoa -- and also substitutions like using red lentil pasta instead of spaghetti (23g of protein per serving!) or using flatbread instead of bread that 8g fiber and 9g protein (for only 90 calories). If you plan around it, I promise you can do it.

I was debating between body shot and face shot, and I guess face won?

(also bumping this now that it's daytime lol)

That definitely counts! Figure skating has a lot in common with dance as far as body technique, I feel. I definitely sit in straddle and stretch out throughout the day (like when I'm watching TV or something) especially since I'm trying to get my center splits, so I'm hoping that helps! Yay! Do you go to any Westie events?…
-
Just added you! What are your goals and motivations like?

Oh gosh - when my stomach sticks out far enough that it made my shirts tight, or my boobs got too big for my regular bras - also, really not into how my face looks when I'm heavier, so I noticed that too.

Hey ladies! 5'8", currently 175ish looking to get below 160 - exact weight doesn't matter as much because I'm trying to build more muscle, so my main focus is to get to get below 25% body fat, whatever that means weight wise. My goals are largely core and leg strength, balance, and flexibility so I can keep growing as a…

Thank you so much, guys! It's really encouraging to see results, between the scale, the tape measure, and just feeling stronger. As awesome as the numbers are, it feels even better to get through a difficult workout without struggling, or being able to do more real pushups before having to drop to my knees.
-
Right, totally forgot that! I'm 5'7.5"

Recovery can be super difficult, especially if/when you know you're at a higher weight than you should be. I've been in recover for almost four years, and it still gets tempting to just fall back on old habits if I'm having a stressful week and decide to take it out by eating "bad" food. But just remember that your health…

Thanks ladies! I know it's a journey, it's just really frustrating to come so far and then backslide completely =/

This. There are days where if i don't work out first thing in the morning, I just never get to it! Scheduling your workouts right when you get up often works best.

22, turning 23 in August here :) Getting back on the wagon since I slacked off and gained back, feel free to add me!

I work in a restaurant, which is both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, I'm constantly on my feet and walking and usually don't have the time or ability to eat while on shift - but this means if I don't manage to eat before I get to work, by the time I get off, it's usually around 11 PM and I'm starving because I've…

I'm a fan of this set of exercises - they're challenging, work all the different muscles in your abdomen, and can be done anywhere: http://fit-healthy-happy.tumblr.com/post/5497136465/great-ab-workout

Thanks guys! Pretty sure I added everyone here - now out for a quick run before work. Gotta start sometime, right?

Anytime! Yeah, when I first started last year I had no idea what I was doing and plateaued super quick, but when I bumped my calories above my BMR, I started losing again :)
-
Generally speaking, unless you're pretty small or super sedentary, 1200 isn't actually enough. You want to meet your BMR no matter what. Think about it - if your BMR is what your body burns by standing still, than by eating less, you are actually not giving your body enough to just function. if you meet your BMR, then…

Thanks, guys! Yeah, I'm definitely feeling frustrated with myself, but I can do this. If I can be reasonably happy with my body again by the end of this semester, I'll feel like I've accomplished something big :)

Sticking out plateaus is hard, and not doing it is what made me backslide, so congratulations! If you've gotten this far, you can make it to the end, I'm sure :)
