I can relate to all of you. I've been solo parenting for a little over 4 years now. My son is 6 years old. I have sole responsibility for everything including financially. I work full-time. Was going to school part-time as well but finally got burned out and decided to take some time off (I have a bachelor's degree but I…

I have a vitamin D deficiency and it made me feel exhausted to the point that I was borderline also feeling depressed. Just couldn't get out of the funk. I'd sleep 12 hours and still be tired. But since taking my prescription level of Vitamin D I have felt so much better (I am currently on 50,000 IUs weekly and will be…

I am planning to do this rotation: http://how-do-it.info/Jillian_Michaels_Rotationstarting_this_tomorrowDoing_all_30_Day_Shred_days/ It uses Banish Fat Boost Metabolism, No More Trouble Zones and 30 Day Shred. I want to try some of her other dvds like Ripped in 30, etc. But I don't have them so figure might as well use…

I am doing the shred on average every other day. Sometimes I do it a few days in a row. But I figure as long as it is every other day then I will see progress over time. Especially if I do something else for exercise the days I don't shred. Just do what you can :)

For those of you who don't love 30DS. I don't mind the workout as much if I put the dvd on with sound off on either my portable dvd player or my laptop and then watch something else on the tv. That way I can look over and see if I am supposed to switch to something else, but I don't have to hear JM go on and on saying…

Today will be L1D6 for me. Sunday was my off day so hoping I will have a good session this afternoon :) Better go get suited up and get to it!

I am eating a light breakfast, then I will get my workout clothes on and get ready for to shred. Morning workouts are the best!

I have been modifying and not doing the jump roping or butt kicks. Instead I do high knee marching during jump roping and kick backs during butt kicks. When I did part of 30DS the last time around those two things seemed to make my knees ache. I think I need to build up more strength and keep it more low impact since I…

I was just thinking the same thing. Want to friend each other and remind each other?

Since I did 30DS yesterday today was D2L1. Starting weight 238.4lbs, will need to find the tape measure tonight and measure myself and take before pictures if I am brave. :) Good luck to those of you who haven't done day 1 yet. You can do it!!

This is just what I need! Just started back at MFP after too long of a hiatus. Started 30DS Saturday. Then did second day Tuesday and third day today...so let's just say I haven't been doing back to back days. But I have been toying with doing a full 30 days. And I have been modifying not doing the jump ropes or butt kicks…

Hi everyone! I just joined this group. I will just weigh in on Saturday because I am not about to step on the scale right now (first day of that special time of the month...) But I am somewhere about 241lbs. My ultimate goal is 150lbs so I have quite a way to go. Summer 2013 I am going to be going to a family reunion with…

Bump, researching which hrm to get :)

Wow so many good ideas! Thank you I really appreciate it! I am off to google some of those gadgets and try to decide what is the best option for me and my budget. P.S. does anyone know how to be alerted when a certain thread gets updated? Is there a way to do that on MFP?

bump!

I also work full-time, school part-time (8 credits this semester), and I'm a single mom to a 5 year old. I work out in the morning. I usually get up at 5 and study and then start my workout some time after 6. I do exercise dvds. I'd rather go to the gym but that eats more time (getting there) and money (gym membership and…

Thanks everyone! I can't wait to try my Quinoa tomorrow for dinner. Now I just have to choose which yummy dish to make.

smaller meals for frequently. I aim for 5-6 small meals a day. And protein with as many of those as you can (nuts, peanut butter, cheese, dairy, meat, etc.) Then also drinking lots of water.
-
I set my base at 1200, then I eat back my exercise calories.

Thanks! It worked for me now! I didn't see the credit listed but it was there and then I was trying to put the code in again too oops!
-
It didn't work for me. :(

It sounds counter productive but if I work out when my muscles are sore they feel less sore after. I think it warms them up and stretches them out. If you stop doing those moves until you feel better you'll never build up the strength and will always be sore after. But if you keep doing it consistently eventually you won't…

I have the same problem!!! I am small chested, but big armed. So I can wear a XL shirt, but then I can't fit the sleeves most of the time. But then if I get a bigger shirt I don't fit it right because of darts, etc. Soooo irritating. But I remember having less problems with this when I was 180lbs so I have hope they will…

What about make a rule. No soda at work. We have candies around here like crazy and I made the rule for myself no candies from work. Then eventually went to none at all. Whatever works for you :)
-
Cold turkey! I am doing this with sugar! I don't know about you but for me if I have some I want more. If I have none, I can stay away from it longer and eventually don't even want it. But it will take a week or two to completely get rid of the craving. And drink tons and tons of water!

Could be muscle gain. Did you measure yourself to see how many inches you've lost? You might be building muscle, therefore losing inches even if the scale is not showing a loss in pounds yet. And I don't know about you but my period is definitely bad news for the scale...I usually gain 3-5lbs about a week before and then…

You look fantastic!!! Very inspiring! Makes me believe I can fit in to my old size 14s too one of these days! Thanks for sharing.

I love spinning too! I don't have a gym membership right now so I can't do it. BUT when I get one (eventually) I will definitely make sure there is spin there. That's awesome you've found it. And it's a super good exercise to trade off with jogging. As for the comments about your butt hurting. I highly recommend purchasing…

Well said! Can't agree more! Especially for those truly addicted and having a problem like I do.
