  • I am on day 3 with either improper syncing or not at all. Yesterday and today it never synced and my steps still say 0 as does my calorie burn. But I read in the help area that there is a huge backlog they are working on it.
  • My HRM is on the fritz :'( and I don't have money to replace it right now.
  • Would Rock it Out be considered circuit training? I know it's not just strength training because you are moving a lot without so there is an aerobic component. What do you all think?
  • I am 31 years old, and have quite a bit to lose (ideally more than 50lbs...but I'd settle for 50 at least). I am in a little different situation because I am divorced with sole custody of my 7 year old. Life gets really busy since I work full-time and mommy all the other time. But taking time for ourselves is something we…
  • I'm still going...week 7 day 1 completed yesterday. Should be on target to finish before Thanksgiving :) And my son is still right with me.
  • Your son is a cutie! I have been waiting until the age I felt like my son would be old enough to try to train for a 5K. So far it's working out. We shall see if he makes it with me to the last week. I won't force him, but I am hoping we can finish together. I am a single mom, so if he doesn't run, he'll be biking because I…
  • I completed Week 3, Day 1 today as well. I am doing it with my 7 year old son and I was a little worried we'd have to stop before making it to 3 minutes but I am happy to report we did just fine. I am also a little worried about the 20 minute run at the end of week 5! However, I know everything is preparing us for that and…
  • I agree! And his other Inside Out Method dvds are good too.
  • Full-time single mom and full-time worker here too. I have lost 20lbs but still have another 70-80lbs until I reach my goal. In for the long haul!
  • I think the more you have to lose the longer it takes to see a difference. I have lost 20lbs and I don't feel like I look at all different and no one has noticed yet. But I still have a lot to lose. Versus years ago when I went down from 185 to 170lbs and there was much more of a difference in just those 15lbs and everyone…
  • Please add me! I am finally feeling like I am in the groove of things and working out consistently. Would love to have some buddies to stay motivated with :) I am already logging in every day to mfp. I loooooove having my iPhone since I am all over the map for work.
  • starryvagabond - I will have to try it. I always buy the real stuff. Not a fan of the powder either. jkmiller82- good to hear! I love to hear from others who have tried it. Now it's a must try for sure. BluejayNY- I can't always get it at every grocery store around here, but usually a regular grocery store has it. And it…
  • This sounds pretty tasty :) just to change things up a bit.
  • I am working on bringing mine down too. Told dr didn't want to try medication until after trying diet and exercise/weight loss first. :) Hoping it improves naturally without having to use drugs.
  • Sounds like something yummy to satisfy a chocolate craving.
  • I want to try the Alfredo version too, and cheesy ones. I think cheese will be the way to win over my 6 year old :)
  • I work full-time and I am a single mom full time (ex lives out of state). I find if I don't work out before the day starts I struggle to get it in later because there is always something after work I have to do. So I work out at 5 or 5:30AM while my son is in bed. He is almost 7 and if I am hitting the exercise hard I…
  • Awesome! Anything special you are doing? Do you take meds?
  • This is helpful because sometimes you workout hard and then the scale doesn't change in your favor. I will have to remember this!
  • Thanks for the response. Sounds like a mix of experiences. I guess I will just have to give it a shot and see how it goes. The trickiest part will be deciding when to do it. I usually work out at 5 or 6 in the morning (before work) but that won't work with the little one. So maybe evenings a few weeks days and Saturday…
  • Everyone always asks me why I don't move to the top floor apartment instead of the basement. And my reply is always that I wouldn't be able to exercise since I usually do mine at 5 or 6AM. Sorry :( Maybe take your exercise outside? Or maybe talk to the people down below and let them know what you are doing and see if you…
  • fShaw86 - kids are worth all the love we can give me. Some days single parenthood is so hard but most of the time it's just the norm, you just learn to roll that way and make it work. But you're right we're strong and we're making a difference in our little ones lives even if their other parents aren't involved. I learned…
  • I forgot to post my weight and goal. CW 226.4 GW 216.4 (by July 31)
  • I'm going to be working hard every single day to realize this goal :) I did lose 10 in June. So crossing my fingers my body continues to respond to my exercise efforts and healthy eating. Are we doing check-ins
  • Full custody, full legal, no child support. In our divorce papers it says visitation as agreed upon by parties. He wanted all or nothing and didn't want shared. I wasn't about to give up my rights, so he did (there's more to the story but in a nut shell). He has spotty contact with our son. He has moved to a few states…
  • Thank you! I know I will do it! I am really motivated and feeling good about the changes I have made and continue to make.
  • Yum-o! I love Thai and Indian dishes. Plus I have all the ingredients on hand! This will be a good one to try. Thanks!
  • Thanks for sharing! You look great! I started at 244 and have lost 18lbs but can't wait until I am down to 209. I definitely see a difference between your before and current photos! Gives me some encouragement to keep working hard!
  • Get a gel seat pad and bring it with you. You will thank yourself. That is the hardest part. Your butt will hurt for a week or two probably even with the pad but it will lessen the blow and eventually you can ride without it. 4 years ago I had a personal trainer for a couple of months and he suggested on my days when I…
  • I have some really good friends who do share custody and switch weekends and stuff and they tell me the same thing. They also say most of the time their kids are with the other parent they are worried about them or missing them so it's not a true break.
