does the hotel have a gym? If so try to get a bit of cardio in. If not just go easy on the meals. Eggs at breakfast and then high protein at lunch, and lay off the booze in the evening. you'll be fine! Keep it up you are doing so well!

The time came for me when my dad was diagnosed with cancer. My weight has been up and down a lot in my 20s mainly because of stupid yo yo diets. When my dad was diagnosed with oesophageal cancer, and I was told that being over weight was a risk factor (and my dads never been overweight) I thought it was time to make…

haha yeah I used to play wow. but had to go cold turkey - I was a paladin tank and always raiding. Priorities changed when my son came along, and I also realised I'd gained some extra fat that I need to get rid of! So now I'm just a casual PS3 gamer, bit of black ops from time to time and Streetfighter / gran turismo. and…

I used to be, but then work got in the way - feel free to add me. I'm still a bit of a super-geek :)

I get more motivated the more people who I know can see my diary! Good luck, feel free to add me!

you've still got to TRUST your butcher in many cases.
-
I hear ya! but most people have no real idea what mass producers actually pay for food. They can probably knock those lasagnes out for less than 20p a go. Given that the army feed and water soldiers for under £4 a day, starts to make you realise - typical consumer pays far too much.
-
I even had an interesting chat with a guy who said "only buy my mince from the butcher" - to which I said - "so you only TRUST your butcher". He could have been eating horse mince for years and never have known it. In many ways this is just about who you trust with your food in the supply chain to which there is no easy…

The thing is there is only so far this logic takes you, if you ever see how much a cow or a lamb get sold for at a cattle market you'd see that meat is actually REALLY cheap. so if you are buying it on mass, and also only buying cheaper cuts its possible to get the price to be substantially lower. I used to live near a…

me too - was the horse sashimi good. sounds like it would have looked a bit like beef carpaccio
-
this.

^^ this. Horse meat would probably make it better. most of those cheap sausages are all rusk and grissle and the the cheapest pig meat you can imagine.
-
Have to say I'm not really that fussed about the whole horse meat thing. I think its wrong that someone is passing off beef as horse but that's all. Horse is a great meat, low in fat and full of protein. I'm a carnivore and will eat meat, I'm not one of those "ooh I only eat chicken, shrink wrapped" folks. I've tried meat…

haha just made me chuckle

^^ I love seeing ladies compliment each other like this. keep up the good work, you look fab!
-
thanks! I think someone keeps pinching the gum I keep in the car!!
-
thanks I thought it might be. Not doing "Atkins" but do tend to have a high protein intake in my diet.
-
never watched walking dead but ah a huge Game of Thrones fan! happy to friend anyone else who is!
-
What a bull**** attitude, hope he changes his tune.
-
This is what I do, I normally work on the basis that the MFP calculation is about 40% off!
-
^^This. don't fear stuff unnecessarily. If it makes you feel bad don't eat it. otherwise, just watch the cals and keep burning.
-
I wouldn't recommend it. Most are just caffeine, and you can add that into your diet through a decent cup of coffee. Try supplementing with a protein powder at least that has good nutritional value and can encourage a bit more fat loss.
-
Hi, also happy to be added. I'm really getting in to MFP now - mainly thanks to the mobile app being so great for checking out cals on food! promise I'll try to help as much as I can!
-
do they do the chicken Katsu? that might be a good one. you could probably get a good guestimate of the macros and kcals
-
this, this is me too!
-
this.
-
I'm like this too - can just about stomach fresh oranges but can deal with the texture of most fruits.
-
exactly what I do! sometimes just a scoop of protein with some 0 fat greek yoghurt
