Excercise Skool on demand (try you tube) has a foot and ankle workout from a physical therapist that is good. I also just got a walking workout from Jessica Smith because it had a foot and ankle workout on it (I have weak ankles as well), I haven't tried it yet but I really like the rest of the DVD. I also found this:…

Our program started out as a bonus and has turned punitive. I have colleagues who have time to take 2 hour lunches while other people are lucky to leave their desk to use the bathroom let alone to take the e-learning course on work life balance. I am stuck toward the crappy end of the spectrum but know a lot of people who…

Random Tuesday thought: I have been getting back into TF the last few weeks. This weekend I had a ton going on so I grabbed an old DVD "Crunch's Cardio Salsa)...one of the participants looked familiar so I watched the credits...and it's Monica Gray ....it has to be the same person.

I like the chocolate chip granola bars...not a fan of the brownies.

Thanks everyone...I am trying to get enough points thru Humana Vitality to get a new one for free...

I had a similar problem many moons ago and AFTER checking with my doctor a friend who worked the front desk at a gym asked how much diet pop I drank, it was a lot. I stopped/cut way back and would drink some gatorade before my workout and it helped. I am not arguing that pop or sweetners are all bad but limiting them…

Do you like those kind of programs? I love Turbo Fire and it's slow cousin Turbo Jam...but I have always liked kick boxing. I have been tempted by Insanity or others but realize I won't do it.

I just googled Swimming heart rate monitor and got the following: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2469977,00.asp https://www.heartmonitors.com/exercisetips/swimming_heart_rate.htm http://www.livestrong.com/article/412692-the-best-waterproof-heart-rate-monitor/ Given how different the levels of intensity can be in the…

"mainly I'm worried about snakes" is a terrifying sentence.

I think it depends on how good of a swimmer/"treader" you are. Years ago I belonged to a gym with a pool and after reading an article about how many calories you burn treading water...I couldn't get my heart up at all.....but I am a pretty good swimmer...if you are afraid of drowning and are flailing you are going to burn…

Be careful swimming, more specifically kicking in the water...it could damage your ankle...ask your doctor about physical therapy it will make all the difference getting you back to where you want to be.

It's second opionion time and I would also suggest a visit with a Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation specialist. I would look for a referal thru the local heart association (maybe they have a support group for young cardiac patients) or stroke group. I have a friend on blood thinner and it impacts what she is allowed to do…

Google Meghan Garcia. She specializes in plus sized yoga.

Also stretch out your calves. You can use a massage stick or even a rolling pin....also there is a channel on You Tube called sportskool that has a workout for foot and ankle pain.

There's is actually an article in this month's Women's Running about training for a half marathon you have put off.

Have you recently started or changed your workout? Whenever I start working out again I crave sugar....I have a pretty good sweet tooth anyway but I started swimming when I worked near a gym with a pool and I found myself craving and drinking a Sunny D-light after my workout for a few weeks. Then it goes away and I think…

It also can be wacky....I was walking some this weekend....no hills at all and it gave me 50 flights on Saturday and 40 on Sunday. I might have gone up and down 10 a day...

I have had leg cramps when i start back up excercising. Make sure you are drinking plenty of water and eat a banana and that should help. Take a glass or small bottle of straight lemon juice to bed where you can reach it...if you wake up with a cramp shoot it down and it will help get rid of the cramp.

Very long day...highlight-Jeni's Queen City Cayenne Ice Cream. my new favorite Mexican Chocolate. I feel the need to find a good spicy chocolate/mexican chocolate cupcake recipe.

There is a plus sized oga DVD called "Just My Size Yoga" with Meghan Garcia. Check amazon I think she has at least one other. While you are on Amazon check out Debra Mazda...she does several "plus size" workout DVDs. Leslie is great but can be a little perky...if perky isn't an issue for you there is always Richard Simmons.

I watch a lot of cooking shows and the judges don't eat that much. They take a bite. So even in the early stages of Top Chef it's 12 bites on Tuesday for the Quickfire and then 24+ bites for the main challenge the next day? This lasts for maybe a month? Including the finale? I have read an interview with Padma that she…

Girl's gotta get paid....being famous doesn't come with a paycheck, there seems to be a lot of hustling that goes with being an actress/celebrity. I am getting sick of kids competition shows because there are always annoying stage parents and I don't think 12 year olds really understand how not real the shows are or that…

I heard the actual over/under on "deflated balls" is 3. I think the NFL will have told the color team not to mention it. My prediction: Katy Perry will lip sinc

They still make Chocolate Peanut Butter....the only BR I ever see is near a hospital my mom was in for a few weeks....

I like to make an omelet with three egg whites and one whole egg (with a little cheddar cheese and salsa), you can also add a cup of spinach. Instant oatmeal with light soymilk and toasted walnuts or pecans is also good. Greek Yogurt with Bear Naked Granola with Protein is also good.

As a former swimmer (who is looking for a health club with a good pool) there are Speedo's and there are swim accessories >:) The basic Speedo lap suit isn't going to win any beauty contests but they do have a built in bra, stay put during a flip turn and hold up well (always shower first and get the suit wet and rinse…

I think a crab dip should be in the savory foods thread:-) Do you use imitation crab?

My cable used to have "Sportskool on Demand" which included a great foot and ankle workout...I found it on a pay channel on youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7mKPz49wVVY

Brat! The real downside to finding where they have the Talenti is seeing all the other kinds of Gelato I didn't know they had....
