  • I say up your protein significantly. And do you take a rest day? You need one of those.
  • Absolutely awesome!!!
  • The MFP app is better for the iPhone but other than that I love my Samsung Fascinate (Droid). I only know about the app because I have an iPad and it uses the same MFP app as the iPhone.
  • I have a friend who just had surgery this week and she could barely eat a thing. She basically avoided greasy foods, ice cream, anything spicy. She had to eat very bland things. Even eating too many veggies disrupted her so she ate very small amounts of food.
  • I have had symptoms as well due to endometriosis, the surgery, infection after and just the inability to get my hormones back into balance. The medicine had me all kinds of crazy. I gave in for a while and I gained weight. Then I lost it. My "girlie" stuff is a little more normal now. I think the only thing that has kept…
  • Calories burned are based on different factors: weight, age, height, sex, HR, etc. I could not afford a really nice one but this one takes into account your weight and HR and I feel it is fairly accurate. The really nice ones cost quite a bit more and if I had the budget I would so buy one. Look on amazon.com for one.
  • The best thing to do is get an HRM.
  • I do not believe you have to eat it within this time frame. I normally do because I'm starving in the morning. But I know many people who do not even eat breakfast and that's what works for them. There are studies showing that breakfast is not the most important meal of the day. Now, I do believe in eating breakfast…
  • I was excercising way too much and not eating enough and my body wouldn't let go of the weight. I haven't lost many pounds lately but I look a lot better and my clothes fit better since cutting back my exercise and eating more. I eat a lot of protein! And drink a lot of water. This journey is hard...you just have to learn…
  • First of all...throw BMI out the window. It's not an accurate measure especially for people who are into fitness. I would get an actual test done for BF%. I want to do it but haven't had time. A doctor's office may be a good place but I know many bigger colleges have the equipment to do these tests and are much more…
  • I agree...a good nights rest is necessary. But the problem is that we do not live in a lab setting and the ability get more sleep for many seems impossible. I know I work two jobs and have to fit in workouts, laundry, cleaning, basically the normal house stuff. So I wonder how we can get more sleep?
  • I don't believe it's fooling yourself. I think fooling yourself is when you weigh after dehydrating (kind of like some wrestlers will do). The scale can move 2 - 5 lbs from day to day.
  • I wouldn't eat carbs after lunch. On a daily basis I normally eat mostly protein for my afternoon snack, dinner, and PM snack. Drink a ton of water that day too.
  • I think Shred and Ripped in 30 are amazing workouts. Inches will be lost and muscles will be toned. I'm not sure how much weight you are trying to lose and I did drop a few pounds when I did...but the inches lost made me look like I had lost a lot more weight than the scale said.
  • Some studies have shown that breakfast is not the most important meal of the day. But on the other hand...I have to have it! I'm hungry in the morning especially after I work out. And of course there are still more studies that show breakfast is definitely needed in the morning. Can you incorporate a protein shake with in…
  • BUMP! I hadn't thought of this. Now you have me wondering.
  • I have spoken to many educated professionals about this and they all say a cheat day is necessary not just for the mental aspect of it.
  • Amazing progress! You look fantastic. Keep up the great work!!!
  • Great progress!!! Looking great!
  • I do not work night anymore but use to. It is very difficult because a person's body is not meant to be up at those times so obviously it's not meant to eat. I say keep doing what you are doing. The only thing I did not do was workout in the morning after work. It got me too wired and I couldn't sleep. I would get home and…
  • Well, I'm already your friend...but I would add you again if I coud:) I have many peeps that have drifted away too. I deleted many of them.
  • I'm interested in this too. My waist is 28.5 and hips are 33.5 Height: 5'2" Weight: 134.4
  • You can do it! I wouldn't skip day 2 after you do day 1. I think I did it 6 days a week starting out just because I kept pushing myself. I say try doing it for 2 days then rest day then 2 more until you feel like you can do it more. Or 3 on and 1 off. It's so worth it. You will so see the inches come off.
  • I'm always curious how accurate scales are too. I really think the ones you buy for your home, even if they work great at first, eventually just wear down because of how they are made. I think you would have to spend some serious $$$ on a scale and I can't afford that. I'm thinking of just taping myself.
  • I wish I could help with that. I know many people who get a little upset stomach from fish oil ones but not the other. I just take mine with my breakfast with water and don't have a problem. But it's just a multivitamin.
  • They have been working on compiling recipes. When you put it in, it asks if you want to share it or whatever. If you pick yes it goes into some place and gets added to their list. If no, the it doesn't matter. But since they have no set up the recipe book yet, then no one can view it.
  • I eat quite a bit of protein on my more active days and it really helps make me feel full.

  • Do some HIIT on a bike, elliptical, or just by jogging/running. That will really help especially since you do not do intense cardio. I have 30 DS and like it but Ripped in 30 was a bigger burn. I was at my last 10 lbs but have reassessed my goals because my inches are way down from the beginning but the scale numbers are…
