I am the same way, the medicine im on doesn't make me hungry enough throughout the day to eat more than 1200-1400 at most. Originally I was burning about 600-800 daily at the gym (and I lost about 20 pounds in 6 weeks...and wasnt overweight or even close to it) but I realized I need to either be eating back my exercise…

Thanks for the info and advice! Just checked the bottle and there is none of those in the ingredients so I think im good! I just wanted to make sure it wasn't going to throw off my diet or anything since im not use to drinking really anything but water.

Thanks a lot :) Any idea how much I should be lifting? I guess it's time to step my game up.
-
Congrats on reaching your goal! My BMI has went from 23.7 to 21.6 (that was a week and a half ago though) what is your BMI at that weight?? I am 5'3 and a half so I would like to know! And also, when you say lifting heavy, how much? What kind of exercises, maybe I need to step it up.

I am lifting. I do strength 4-5 times a week. I get reassessments done with a trainer at the gym and I was going down in inches everywhere at first but the last two times I got measured I gained muscle in my arms, shoulders, and thighs from the strength I do. I'm losing fat and gaining muscle in all the right places-…

Cant give up my bread! I can switch to whole wheat, and wheat bagel thins, and wheat flat out wraps, but there's no way I can just flat out give it up!

Is HIIT its own specific workout or is it just a term used for workouts that are at high intensity? Because I do the stair stepper for 20 minutes and every minute I switch from 75% to 25%...I do this everyday. Is this good HIIT training?
-
Awesome- This is what I have heard and the Stair stepper is the first thing I do everyday for 20 minutes at a high intensity, switching intervals. Ill add in some sprints on the treadmill. Thanks!

Ive been trying cutting back on carbs for the last two weeks and as much as I stay under 80g of carbs it puts me wayyyyy under in calories. I cant seem to find a balance in low carb and meeting an acceptable calorie goal.
-
Well ive been doing all of this for about 6-7 weeks now but it seems to be my hardest area to lose from...I didnt know if there was anything else I could do specifically to help with these areas

"Hunger can be a pretty poor method to determine adequate nutrition. When you undereat for a prolonged period of time your body will stop producing as many of the chemicals that tell your body to be hungry. Increasing your calories slowly and steadily can help with this. Any time you increase your calories you'll see a…

Good idea about the meal times- that's definitely what throws me off the most is trying to cram all these meals into such a busy day, and ill try the smaller serving size for the protein shake...thanks!
-
Haha- Just because I'm not overweight doesn't mean I cant be even healthier than I am. Ive gained more weight than I want to so its time to burn it off- and I have it to lose I promise! Thanks for the tip!

Well I think my main problem is im trying to stay low on carbs everyday (bread and chips are my weakness) so I think my cals are so low because I try to eat things low in carbs....which typically are then low in calories. I dont know how to balance being on a 1500cal diet- while trying to be on a low carb diet also.…

That helped a lot- thank you!
-
So then what does keep it up?
-
Awesome- thank you!

"Eat as many meals as you want. It can be 1 or 10, as long as you get enough calories, that is all the matters. And yes you can eat a shake post workout. Eventually, your body will adapt to eating more and you will be hungry more often. I actually eat 8 times a day." But isnt it bad to eat all of that late at night? By the…

I am seeing progress, inches and weight wise but not composition wise. I dont know if its just because I see myself everyday so I dont see changes but I dont think I need to reavulate my goal...Even though im at a healthy BMI, I could still go down to like 18 or 19 and be in the "healthy" range for my weight and height.…

Ok this was very helpful also. I do have access to all equipment, but I never really use any of the weight machines besides biceps and legs. How do I know what strong lifts or NROLW is there? What weight training did you start that made such a difference? When I do my reassessments with a trainer I am losing inches…
-
Very helpful, thanks a lot! I'll look into those strength training tips.
-
Well I dont do just cardio- but I will admit I spend way more time on cardio than strength. I spend about 30 mins of strength training in between my two cardio sessions. I do 3 reps of 8-12 on every circuit that I do. Arms I usually do mostly bicep curls, and two machines a trainer showed me. Shoulders/back I do triceps,…

Jq2122- A trainer at my gym, so I confirmed it also on a few websites like livestrong and womens health. lilcassers- thanks a lot, ill switch all those out and see how it goes...but other than fruits and veggies throughout the day what kinda of things should I be eating if i'm eating small portions that much?
-
I had a feeling I was going to be told I was eating too less! Any idea what kinds of foods I should add to my diet to help me out? I am going to try to keep doing the low carb thing for now-since bread is my weakness! So any good low carb, or good carb foods to add to help me up the cals and not just fat?

Thank you!
