overly concerned with food, or next time they will eat.... overly concerned with eating too much (or not eating at all around others)... obsessive behaviors eating privately eating way too much as compared with the "norm" can you tell which kind of issues i have? lol. but unless it's yourself, it's hard to tell if someone…

soup, rice, etc. stuff that's easy on you.... lots of fluids. don't worry so much about "diet" right now... your health comes first!
-
welcome! you can do this.... moderation is key, and set realistic goals. :)
-
welcome Andy! you can do this. never give up on yourself, the one thing i tell people when they ask about "what got me started" or "what made it work" is that I never gave up.... even after a bad moment, day, week, or hell... MONTH.... i didn't give up on me. i got right back on it the best i could. :-) you will do GREAT!…

if you are a new runner, speed will come with time.... interval training is great as well.... as are fartleks.... (funny word, but look it up, lol) but seriously, a 9 min mile from where you were is a great step! i do agree about the adrenaline, you will surprise yourself.

all things in moderation.... including DIET! hang in there. you can do this..... be kind to yourself... take a bubble bath. :-)

there are a TON of plank moves that are great core burners.... standard, elbows, alternating (elbow up to hands, right, left, etc)... then there are the tony horton moves like mason twists, and superman/banana.... if you have something you can tuck your feet under, it's nice to lay back and do over-extended situps (off the…

look for natural versions with only whole meats.... a lot of extra crap gets thrown in most of the usual varieties....
-
just go out and get jillian's new kettlebell workout... i love it!

Odd but my face is my stretch marks.... A reminder of where I am not going to return.... Other than that... Lol. Losing my toenails after my marathon made me feel pretty kick *kitten*!!!
-
speaking from experience, this seems to be the sort of behavior that may have led to you needing to lose 100+ lbs to begin with. i am pretty sure there are other issues than just a pie here.....
-
been there done that.... over and over again.... i can't just have a little... a cheat meal turns into a day... etc. and running distance only makes it worse because my mind knows i need "fuel" but the addictive side of eating rears its ugly head.... UGH. hang in there! one moment at a time.

If you want specifics on the body bugg, i wrote a whole blog about it.... called 'buggin' out" over on my blog... payfitforward.net

I have used both.... HRM are helpful when training and they can help you stay in specific heart rate zones. I like to see my burn also as it's an indication of whether or not I am over training. My BodyMediaFit was okay, but I disliked wearing it all the time... and there was no HR indication.

just got back from my rainy and soggy cold run! :-) loved every minute of it.... even if i am tapering for my marathon.... still gotta get out there!!!! :-) it's a nice change of scenery.

Awesome ideas and combos. Thanks so much!!!

I guess no one has any?? Lol. One of my recent finds is called go picnic. It's a meal in a box, natural, organic.... Easy! It even has dessert too. Yum.

good for you! :-)

I agree with most people above... both are important. If you aren't careful, you can lose muscle mass. But I do know if you want to "bulk" or "build" lean muscle, it takes more calories than if you didn't.... and that doesn't mean that if you are a woman you want to look like a man... unless you are on steroids that won't…

i definitely have had that "woosh" experience. LOL. it's kind of like the body has to catch up..... keep it up you are doing GREAT! and it's awesome that you are focusing on the big picture. ;-)

do you log your workouts, eat calories back? how much do you want to lose? there are many factors..... how much have you lost? you can always play with the numbers... it's true that you have to eat to lose.... for sure. and if you eat too little you can actually hurt your metabolism. 1270 is crazy low if that's your…

People used to say this all the time to me. Not anymore tho, since I knave maintained for a year now. They are always comparing you to your biggest.... So the change may be drastic. I would say as long as you are a healthy weight and eating healthily, then go with it. :-)

All things in moderation. :-)

For what it's worth, i did not lose much on insanity, but my body did change.
-
My friend Heidi had the same... I was told that mine was on its way.... hang in there!! :-) It is somewhat reversible, but can be made worse...
-
YES absolutely agree. On a side note, he is a runner. :)
-
YES. This is the biggest mistake a lot of us make.... Oh, and HIIT is great for fat burning. High intense workouts, with short breaks. You want to get that heart rate up, get those hormones working, sweat dripping, etc. Spin is good, Insanity, Sprints, etc.

In my experience, you want to have a NET of at least 1200 calories. If you eat 1500 and exercise to burn 300, then that's a net of 1200. (1500 - 300 = 1200) But even at a net of 1200 sometimes I would stall out and my body needs MORE FUEL. So, if I understand correctly, you are saying you eat 600 and burn 600? That's a net…

Protein powder is good... but make sure you read the label. Slim fast does offer some vitamins and other ingredients where many protein powders focus purely on protein alone and BCAA (amino acids).
