i recommend you hide your scale. weight is a number.... and only one measurement of success. how do you feel? do you feel confident in your fitness? do you put good foods into your body? do your clothes fit? are you happy with your reflection in the mirror? i feel like as a society we get way to focused on numbers. the…

i would not be sane without my shake. :P i also completed the first insanity program and LOVED it!!!!

honestly, weight loss is only changing the physical... it does nothing for spiritual or mental.... the feelings that you are referring to start inside. after losing more than 100 lbs i am here to say that it never gets easier. we have to do just as much work on the inside.... when you finally get to the "goal" you will see…

I always eat more the days leading up to an endurance event... that way it's not such a huge deficit.
-
Watch your protein, but I am sure you know this... :-) Other than that I hope some other bulking guys on here can offer you some sound advice.
-
depends which workout and also on your intensity level. and it also depends on your fitness, and size etc. i weigh 150 lbs, am very fit, 5 ft 5 in, female... and burned anywhere from 400-700 during a typical workout.

carbs, protein and fat are the three "pillars" but fiber and sodium are also important. MFP has default settings that are kinda "wack" IMHO. i think the protein is too low and also the fiber is too low... and i also think the default sugar is too low. but just my opinion. :-) and as a runner i like to keep my carbs around…

yes mam, i am right there with you. after losing over 100 lbs... it seems inevitable.... but i have found overeaters anonymous to be somewhat helpful... also geneen roth's books are great. and i am also seeking out counseling. food is my addiction... i will never be able to let my guard down fully. but, unlike an…

just be cautious because sometimes your HRM can pick up other people's HR and interference can sometimes be an issue. periodically check your HR reading to see if it matches how you feel.
-
i have the same issues... i am also up at 4:30 most days and workout 5-6am. i have been waiting to eat breakfast at 6:30 then lunch at 11am. i have a substantial breakfast so i am usually okay til 11.... then, snack around 3:30 and dinner by 6. if i have a workout i usually have a late snack (calories allowing). i have…

heart health is why i exercise, and the joy of feeling ALIVE! oh, and i like to eat. :)

truvia is not 100% natural. stevia if you can get it in it's pure form, is 100% natural and thus better for you than splenda OR truvia. if you read truvia's label you will see added ingredients. i buy nustevia in bulk from my local nutritional store, and i love it.

PS when i do not workout in the morning, i am sluggish all day! i miss it... so i agree with the person above, it will get easier for sure! and when i workout at night, i never have as good of a workout because i am not "fresh" like i am in the morning.
-
i get up at 4:30 every morning without fail to workout! what REALLY helps me is having a workout partner/group. i run with a group usuallly and i have a workout partner who also meets me for strength training. is there someone you can meet??? i also find it helps to follow a schedule every week, so i write down my planned…

agreed, use your total mileage/time as a guideline. 10% of that is what you can increase safely.
-
i always try for 1200-1500 net. i am proud to say that i am almost at a year of maintaining over 100 lbs lost, and in that time i have learned a LOT about what works, what works "fast" and what works long term. in the long run, you do not want to lose fast... and you want to maintain a healthy metabolism. eating under 1200…

overuse injury and also the worst muscle cramps of your life! :-) speaking from experience... find a good program and follow it based on your current mileage and what your goals are. i am following hal higdon's intermediate half marathon training and then after that i am going to use his marathon schedule. just google "hal…

had it last night. :) use pam on your skillet, then season the fish (thawed) with your desired seasonings, and cook in skillet over medium to high heat until it's "flaky" white. flip it ever 3-5 min or so.. just watch it. i usually have to add more pam. i like to squeeze lemon juice over it while it's cooking. YUM. i have…

look up hal higdon's website. he has all kinds of training schedules.... to improve speed, you need to do run workouts (speed drills, 400's etc.)

the leaner you get the more this happens. it's a result of being in good shape and your veins actually enlarge from the good circulation. there is a term for it... can't think of it at the moment. :) it happens to me at night especially or if i eat a lot of sugar/carbs.

one other thing... how are your shoes? you might get fitted for cross trainers or running shoes to help your alignment. i know that has really helped me. if you pronate, or if your hips are uneven it can wreak havok on the rest of your joints etc. i also saw a sports med dr. (the one who also treats the STL cardinals,…

ICE 20 min a day take aleve to reduce inflamation i also take osteo-biflex for my joint pain and it works AMAZINGLY... i run 4-5 days a week with no knee pain!!

i love chalean extreme by chalene johnson... let me know if you have any questions at all! it's a GREAT 90 day program...

read the label.. avoid anything with ANYTHING other than "stevia" or the technical word for it... here is what my label says: NuStevia Pure Stevia Extract Powder in 1 lb jars and 1 kilo bags do not contain anything but the pure Stevia extract. here is the website: https://nunaturals.com/product/46 it is by the LB at the…

i would say you need to start mixing it up. also, do you do strength? plus... are you eating enough?? maybe your metabolism has changed? do you eat regularly throughout the day? are your food choices highest quality?
-
bottom line. to poop "regularly" you need enough: WATER, FIBER, and FAT. If just one of those is lacking it won't happen... OH and exercise helps too. i get 50g fiber a day (worked up to it lol, but sometimes even more than that), and try for 25% of my daily intake to be healthy fats, and i drink a TON of water... and i…

LOVE stevia. i prefer to buy it in bulk from my nutrition store in pure form. it's called nustevia. truvia and many other options add "filler" and some do have an odd taste. i have completely transitioned away from aspartame etc. when i can... it's SO MUCH BETTER FOR YOU to use stevia instead. and it's very sweet! i use it…

lol. i would say you are normal. but just don't turn into the food police. been there... people get annoyed. :)
