I had a rough start this morning but I pushed through it. This week I've reflected on my fitness goals for the next year and realized that it's better to live today as if I've already achieved my goals for the year. Sometimes I get so consumed with trying to achieve that I forget that achievement doesn't mean I'll stop…

Thanks! Good one!! Well, today I made some healthier food choices-- plus I worked out at gym with a co-worker right after work. The insanity program I ordered should be in by tomorrow, so my "January 1" future self will be thanking me instead of making desperate resolutions. "A champion is someone who gets up, even…

Still very sore but doing much better. I went ahead and attended Kung Fu class today for moral support, but I mainly just did some very simple stretching and tai chi. The movement helped me feel better. I think my previous tai chi and martials arts training may have influenced how well my body took the impact of the blow…

I love that one  Today I wrecked on my motorcycle and I'm very lucky to be alive posting this. It was probably the most memorable birthday I've had thus far... There are so many good-hearted people and things to be grateful for in this world. I'm so glad I get the opportunity to experience this for another day <3…

Today I completed day 10 of logging and weighed in at 1 pound less than when I began. My hope is to continue doing what I am doing for a full year. My goal is to within the year both reach my goal weight and be able to do a pull up. "Discipline is the bridge between goals and accomplishment." -Jim Rohn

To establish the routine, I recommend starting with very short runs (5-10 minutes) but being sure to do them every day. I've had much more success when I commit to a little bit to begin with but make sure to do it consistently. When I've committed to too much before I've established the habit, I end up either giving up…

Chocolove dark chocolate bars are my favorite; especially the one with almonds and sea salt-- but they make a variety of flavors that are amazing

Good idea -Thanks for the encouragement :) Today was a better day- I started off a little discouraged when I got to boot camp... it had been several weeks since I'd attended (bad weather, other commitments, etc) and I felt as if it were my first time again. As the workout progressed I realized that I hadn't, in fact, lost…
