Oh and you aren't a "misfit"...as your screen name implies...you are human just like the rest of us. :) We all take our own paths in life. Own yours.

What incredible courage to post your story. But then again thats nothing compared to the courage it took to stand up to your demons and face these issues straight on - honestly. Accountability. The idea that food, relationships, "when I get skinny", money, sex, drugs...those aren't ways to cope....none of that is what…

To me what you eat isn't the issue. To me, losing weight it's a simple as this. 1. Eat less >>Move more. 2. Eat a lil more >>> Move even more. 3. Eat a lot >>> Move a whole heck of a lot more.

Just poking my head in to say...really inspiring. Love the way you have changed your attitude about food. I am in the same boat. never had a problem working hard in the gym...but I just love to eat. I am planning on doing a spartan race too when I get the rest of this weight off...maybe the one you mentioned in South…

Dang...you are rockin it. Sounds like your plan is working and you are cruising lower...congrats on being so inspiring for the rest of us.

Dunno if anyone has said this yet....but...using a web cam or "Skyping" in bad lighting can make anyone look "EW". Maybe their reaction was just because they weren't used to seeing a smaller face in bad lighting. Just a thought. Either way...who cares what they think...it's your life...your body...if you are happy...F' em.

I don't think of losing weight as a destination or as a solution to my problems. I think of it as whether I'm healthy or not healthy. When I'm healthy..I have more energy, my skin is clearer, I fit in clothes better, I have more confidence, my cholesterol is lower, my blood pressure is normal, my arteries aren't clogging,…

You are gonna be even more beautiful...the next 100 pounds....so keep it up and I cant wait to hear your happy scream when you finally get…

Well I'm almost 50..1.5 years to go and I have been working out since January and I've lost 60 pounds. I gained 80pounds due to injuries and needed to get it off. I doubt my experience would have changed if I had waited another 2 years from now. The only difference to being older is possibly the fact that I was dealing…

This. New found gusto. keep doing that and your body will reward you. :)

Awesome job! Remember how much better you feel and keep it up! You are doing great. Congrats!!!

1) I would recommend getting at Fitbit...that way you will have a way of tracking how active you are and can make adjustments. My goal is 10,000 steps a day. That's a good way to think because it takes the pressure to "work out" out of the equation. You don't need a gym...can walk in a circle and burn calories. They are 60…

Congrats! Gotta feel so satisfying...you should be proud of yourself! Thanks for sharing your story!

I have been losing since January. I started out at 163 on Jan 2nd. By April I had lost 50 lbs....so yes it's definitely possible to dramatically change your appearance in just three months. The first month I didn't even exercise...and I lost 12 pounds by eating right and under my daily calorie limit. Then when I…

Well let me be the first to encourage you. Sounds like you are starting out strong. Keep that motivation up. :)

Thanks..appreciate it.

I did the same thing. I go to the music show every wednesday and my routine is to go to McDonald's every night after the show every week. I haven't done it in a month and for me that's huge...so just know I know exactly where you are coming from. Way to go. Don't eat that poison.

This totally made my day cause I was a McDonalds freak too. I would eat there 2 maybe three times a week. Not as much as you but all the time. This is what i would order every single time...A Big Mac, A Quarter Pounder with cheese, a six piece nugget, a double cheeseburger, a Super sized fries and super sized drink. Every…
