I'm sure someone will say something more scientific than me but I find gentle exercise helps ease soreness quicker.

I have stayed exactly the same this month. It is the first month I have eaten back exercise calories. I haven't been sleeping very well and feeling very tired and hungry all the time. That hasn't been a problem before. I will be resetting my same goal for Feb. I'm away this weekend so definately not under calories but…

Chicken breast? Skimmed milk? Sometimes it's more important to get your calories in than worry about your macro/ micro nutrients. For 200 cals you can be fairly close.

I find if I don't eat back at least some of my exercise calories I get too tired to perform well at the gym. I try and add my exercise earlier on in the day but also the more you log them you can start to guess quite acurately what cals will be and you don't end up with an extra load of calories to eat. The other thing I…

Have you tried updating your app? I didn't know about it as I normally go online and into the website from my phone rather than use apps. Someone showed me the reader last week so I have got the app now and have been having fun scanning everything :-) my phone is a glaxay

I used to date someone who couldn't stand veg but it worked when I blended them into sauces so I would smoothie cauliflower into a curry sauce or carrots into a tomato sauce. Broccoli is terrible for blending. Like a few other people have said, theoretically it doesn't matter what you eat, just what the calories add up to.…

As a child my mum really restricted "unhealthy" food so consequently as soon as I had my own money I went to the shop, bought as much sweets and pop as I could and would sneak off to eat it. The start of a habit of a lifetime. I totally agree with op there shouldn't be good or bad foods, just a good healthy balance and…

I thought I would say hi. I haven’t joined a group before although I have been posting on a lose 5lb thread monthly. I have been gradually moving towards my goals but really struggling to kick the bad habits. I still have days where I will literally just have chocolate. Also struggling to build an actual healthy lifestyle.

Thankyou to tress29 for inviting me

I haven't done one of these before. I can see the Halloween sheet all filled in, and then 3 sheets which only have one box in the corner. Is that right?

My goal is to be in onederland by st patricks day. That's 16lb to loose.

I love this thread.. I have been lifting with my personal trainer. I am probably not quite in the 'heavy' category yet but I have achieved my goal of pushing 100kg on a 45kg sled after 100 days. On the first day I struggled just with the sled on its own. In pounds that is an improvement from 99lb to 319lb. I have lost 39lb…

I lost 70lb when I was 24 and didn't get any loose skin. Now I'm 32 after 30lb I can already see its going to be a problem. But I known only have myself and my chocolate eating to blame. I would still rather be able to physically do what I want and improve my medical problems than be fat. It is in the back of my mind…

Hiya, I started 12 weeks ago and I have a long way to go x

I put my meals in mfp before I eat them, sometimes I see its going to be way off what I thought and can a just accordingly. So if I am over I'll do a smaller portion or if I'm under I'll add something like butter or nuts or whatever. Sometimes I even put the whole days food in on a morning.

I started weight training aswell. I saw weight loss from the first week around 2/3 lb a week. My biggest change has been on the tape measure, 11 inches off my hips in 10 weeks.
-
I had this when i started and I had cut out sugary foods and buying fat free versions of things. I have now mostly gone back to full fat and eating calorie dense foods. I needed to try and keep my calories up because of struggling to have enough energy for exercise. I think from the forums here it is quite a common problem.

I started at 252lb now 230lb in 10 weeks. I have been eating 1740 calories. I have been strength training though. Could you do some chair based strength training if it's your walking that is difficult? I did set to loosing 1.5lb a week but I generally haven't been eating back exercise calories. I'm 5'3.

I have been reading recently that drinking more than 1000mls in 1hr is bad for you. That is how I've always drank. I can go all day without drinking then suddenly feel really thirsty and down 6000/1000 ml in about 10 minutes. I am trying to just take sips throughout the day now.

You could email the company and explain the problem, then post us the reply! I have had some very good responses from certain companies with relation to pet food nutrition, but I have tried it with a human food. Probs because I know more about rabbit nutrition than my own lol

It sounds like the nanny state in America is even worse than the UK :-0 they are just letting busnisses do it rather than the government directly.

I would disagree. There are many know cases of starving people turning away from food they weren't familiar with, such as the Irish potato famine. When I was donating to Syria they said they don't take pasta because apparently no one will eat it, even the tinned stuff.

For years many doctors have believed ME, and fibromyalgia etc were 'made up' and yet there is now increasing evidence they are indeed real. Science just doesn't have all the answers. Look at all the recent changes in what they believe the role of lactic acid is in muscles. I prefer to keep an open mind. I try not to…
