  • Trust me, I had the same problem - just getting up and doing it is the hardest part. I agree with joining a gym - knowing that I'm paying the YMCA and if I don't go work out it's wasting money is a big help because I don't have money to waste. Try to do it when you can - I realized the only time I have to do it is in the…
  • I go to BK or Mc D's at least once a week. At BK I get a Whopper Jr (to cut calories you can ask for no mayo, but I like mayo so...yeah...) - (340 cals - 290 w/o mayo), I get a side salad (40 cals) and only use half a pack of dressing which is more than enough for a salad this small (cals here will vary depending on the…
  • *polishes butt-kicking boot* Okay, get over here. You'll be fine - remember "Tomorrow is always fresh with no mistakes in it." Put what's past in the past and move forward with healthy eating - YOU CAN DO THIS! :)
  • Yes, you should eat those back - 1200 is the minimum amount you should eat and eating under that is dangerous so even if you eat the 1200 but burn 400 through exercise then your body is only getting 800, which is not enough and can actually cause you to hang onto fat because your body thinks you're starving.

  • No, actually I eat more processed food than I should (it's quick, easy and cheap) and I'm not the best at logging my food - I am right now for a weight loss challenge but normally I try smaller portions and healthier options and only log a day or two a week so make sure I'm in the right range but I'd rather not obsess over…
  • #1 - Love. If you can't love, tolerate.
  • I know exactly how you feel - I've got more than 30 to lose but I looked at a picture of myself from a high school dance (back when I thought I was fat) and I looked HOT! I was like "Why didn't I realize the kind of body I had back then! If that was fat, I want to be fat again!" Well, I'm not sure if I'll get down to that…
  • I'll have to try those shows too. The only thing is in the US we don't use 'stones' so I have to pay attention to the scale when they're being weighed or go to Google to see how much they weigh.
  • I've always been a fan of Disney and in particular, Tinkerbell, and there's this picture I've come across where she's got her arms crossed and is pouting and that's just so me, so I want to get that near my shoulder blade. But I definitely need to find an artist comfortable with doing people and faces so she actually looks…

  • I am a real stickler for proper grammar and pronunciation and it really does get to me when people don't do these things right - like my ex had a horrific time pronouncing things (the confusing name of the Asian supermarket, okay, I'll give him that - foreign language and all) but even simple words were like above him. If…
  • I'm addicted to Doctor Who and I hate bees.
  • No, I feel the same way sometimes, but I just block it out anymore - I've been heavy through most of my 20's and I'm currently working hard so I don't follow the same pattern in my 30's. I did, however, once have this really rude salesperson who looked at me when I was buying this sweater and was like "You know this is a…
  • I weigh myself about once a week.
  • I think both look great and you look amazing (congrats on your weight loss!) but I'd have to go with blue! :)
  • To be honest, I got so tired of always going over my carbs, sodium and sugars that I turned off all the macros and ONLY look at calories - with my job and all it's not really easy for me to avoid packaged and pre-prepared foods and these tend to be high in sodium and carbs and whatnot.
  • I live in America but I just wanted to say my mom makes the BEST apple pie EVER!! :) We have two apple trees in our backyard that grow the perfect cooking apples and I'm not sure what she does to that pie but it tastes like heaven... That's all, just my totally, biased (because she's my mother) opinion.
  • I don't like it - it's expensive and tastes weird. I did try the Darigold Refuel that was like "It's got protein for your muscles" and I'm like "Wow, this tastes just like chocolate milk" - then I compared it to their regular chocolate milk...and what do you know, that's basically what it was - chocolate milk with a few…
  • I saw a girl sitting on one the weight machines at the gym eating a Snickers...
  • Feel free to add me - I love Doctor Who! :) Currently on Season 6 in Netflix - I'm running out of episodes! I like to hook up my iPhone to the elliptical at the Y and watch an episode while I work out.

  • Like others I'm not sure how much you weigh or what kind of exercise you do. 4 days isn't a lot of time to see progress - give it at least a week or two. But for me (I'm 5'2" 242lbs) MFP has put my calorie limit at 1210 (you should not go under 1200) - if I work out 45 minutes on the elliptical I burn roughly 500 calories.…
  • My goal is to be in a size 12 at the end of my weight loss journey, if I manage to get into a 10, you'll all hear me singing with joy from the mountain tops....so, no, I don't think 10 is fat.
  • I don't mind a little hair but I don't want them to look like a silverback gorilla.
  • I'm 31, never married (though I might like to be someday if I find the right man) and don't want kids. Feel free to add me if you want. :)
  • I like Applebee's - I know others have already mentioned it, but their meals under 550 cals are pretty good.
  • I do cheat meals about every two weeks or so - usually when I go out with friends - not that I go particularly crazy but I pick something from the menu that looks good and don't question the calorie content. Usually this is on a weekend when I have more time to work out too. I don't do cheat days because given a whole day…
  • I usually have one string cheese daily - as long as your cheese fits in your calorie limit, you're good. Despite having fat, cheese also contains vitamins, minerals, protein and calcium, so it's not a bad food to have a little bit of daily.
  • I've heard it can take up to 14 exposures to get a child to finally taste something. Keep on trying. One idea you could try (though I was much younger when my parents did this - like 5 or 6 and I'm not picky at all) is tell her she has to take a "no thank you bite" - she has to try one bite and if she really doesn't like…
  • I recently had one that said: "Made in USA" which was a little weird. I also had one once that said "You are a happy man" - I'm a woman, so...yeah....whatever....
  • Thanks - that's a great help! :)
  • We have a spring kitchen scale - I'll ask my mom if she'll be willing to weigh my meats from now on to help me out. She usually doesn't use butter or anything when she cooks - usually calorie-free cooking spray - if she does use butter or oil it's VERY little (and she does let me know so I can log it).
