I've done 2 rounds of p90x and am doing insanity now. i found the p90x nutrition plan to be confusing to follow and it seemed to be really low in carbs. i'm also vegetarian and it was hard to adapt the menu plans to being vegetarian. that being said, 1,000-1,200 is to low for p90x. i will also say that i never burned 600…

Just finished day 12

I've been vegetarian for almost 3 years and eat between 130-175g of protein a day. Feel free to check out my diary for ideas.

Yes because: 1. I know how to read a label or 2. I make them myself

I think most coaches offer free samples of it. I would definitely try a sample before spending $120 for it.

low carb makes me a fussy baby

I've been vegetarian for almost 3 years & eat 130-175g of protein a day & 85-100% of my daily iron requirement without using supplements. Feel free to add me or check out my diary for ideas.

2nd day this week I've had this...yum!

I think the numbers are off. Eggplant is more like 2 g of fiber per 1 c serving, not 20g

i use a packet of maple brown sugar oatmeal, 2/3 c soy milk, 1/2 c greek yogurt, 1 T chia seeds, cinnamon, vanilla and stevia & i stir in strawberries just before i eat it. the chia seeds give it a more pudding-like texture.

I have Crohn's disease & have trouble processing fats (1/4 of a small avocado will make me sick for 2 days) so I almst always buy low fat, but not fat free dairy products-but, I only get them if it doesn't have weird chemicals added (friendship 1% cottage cheese is my fav). My exception is fage 0% greek yogurt-tastes…

I eat meal1 at 6:00am & I finish meal 6 at 11:00pm. It's not when you eat, it's what you eat. Just stay within your calories & you'll be fine.

Almost forgot about the gas part...they inflate you with gas so that they can move everything around inside of you and when you lay down it settles in your shoulders and is extremely painful. The only way to make it better is to toot it out...fairly embarrassing but you won't even care because it will make you feel better.

I really don't see why it would be more difficult to log veggies vs anything else...

Exercise will really suck the iron out of you. If you already have low iron, then it can really make you tired. I have iron deficient anemia as a result of Crohn's disease and had to get 6 IV iron infusions last year. Now I'm able to maintain my iron levels through food and don't have to take supplements, which are…

FYI-they're pretty high in fiber, so go easy on them at first to avoid "discomfort"

Homemade protein bars or cookies, cottage cheese, fage 0% greek yogurt, string cheese, things like that. Feel free to check out my diary for ideas.

I had emergency surgery to have mine removed when I was 20. I was out of work for 2 weeks and went back taking it kind of easy for the first week. I ended up with a drain for the first week of recovery (a tube with like a plastic ball at the end that fills up with fluid that you have to empty) because it was an emergency…

This is also really good with black beans instead of cannellini beans

I also loooooove the nutrition plan!

I would maybe see if your dr can recommend a dietician that understands GI disorders, also see if there is a support group near you that may be able to offer advice & you will probably have to learn to make everything you eat, at least while you're in a flare. It sucks to be young and deal with this stuff. I was 30 when I…

I have Crohn's disease but have relatively few dietary restrictions. One of my best friends has UC & has no dietary restrictions. Does your doctor say all people with UC should avoid these foods or just you, in particular? That's a brutal list of restrictions! That's one of the many things that are so frustrating about…
