Maybe try changing your morning yogurt from 1/2 c to a full cup or try having 1/2 c of cottage cheese with your cracker chips.

I've been vegetarian for almost 3 years and eat between 130-175g of protein a day, which only includes one protein shake. Feel free to add me or check out my dary for ideas.

well how many grams of protein do you eat a day & how many do you want to consume?
-
So you're eating chicken, beans, tofu, greek yogurt, peanut butter, cheese & protein shakes & you want to know where to get protein? Ummm...seems like you have the bases covered. It's kind of hard to tell since your diary is closed.

It would be easier to offer advice if your diary was open.

The texture is like a slightly crunchier peanut butter cookie- I used crunchy peanut butter, so they might be softer if you used creamy peanut butter.

It will kind of depend on your protein powder. I used PlantFusion Vanila Bean (120 cal per scoop of powder) which made 27 cookes for like 75 calories each.

It doesn't look like you are following the Insanity Nutrition Plan. It uses the Harris Benedict method to determine how many calories you should be eating, then you can use a 500 calorie deficit if you want to lose 1 lb a week (I don't recommend a bigger deficit than that). I'm 31, 5'1.5" and 130 lbs and my daily calories…

I'm also about 130 lbs and doing Insanity. I burn anywhere from 200 (Cardio Recovery) to a little over 400 (Plyometrics). Next week I think the ab workout is added in, so my calories burned will probably go up some from that. Don't worry about it-if you're anything like me, you push as hard as you can and feel like…

I'm gonna go with either angel food cake or froyo.

You may as well take one and flush the other one down the toilet because that's where it will end up.

agave has about the same calories as sugar, but it's twice as sweet, so I would start out with half & you can always add more.

It's peanut butter jelly time!!!

I'm on day 6 of Insanity and looooove it. I especially love the nutrition plan. Feel free to add me or check out my diary for ideas/help/motivation.

Lentils are another awesome source of iron. Maybe he could do a stew with beef, potato & lentils. That may be low fiber enough that he could eat it. My crohn's is kind of the opposite, where I have to eat a bunch of fiber.

Xtend Barre Lean & Chiseled. I got it on amazon for like $10 last winter & really enjoyed it

My husband was in his early 30s & was told he was about to have to go on blood pressure meds and had the beginning of fatty liver disease...this was a serious wake up call for him. He was 5'10" & probably 250+lbs and also carried all of his weight in his stomach. We also ate take out a few times a week and he's never…

I have been vegetarian for almost 3 years and I also have Chron's disease which caused iron-deficient anemia, which resulted in 6 IV iron infusions in January of last year...so I pay VERY close attention to me iron levels now. Feel free to add me or check out my diary for ideas. I manage to eat at least 85% of my iron…

Wow...so low-carb websites are telling me that a low-carb diet is a good idea...sounds fairly objective.

Weight loss is calories in<calories out. Unless you have some sort of medical condition, carbs, protein, etc won't affect that. While in a calorie deficit, keeping you protein high will minimize muscle loss. Especially since you are strength training, you will want to have plenty of protein. Carbs will give you energy for…

VegetarianTimes.com has a ridiculous amount of delicious recipes.

I've been vegetarian for almost 3 years and eat between 130-170g of protein a day. I agree with previous responses that you will not gain muscle on 1,200 calories a day...you main gain some strength, but not actual muscle. Unless you have some sort of medical condition, carbs aren't bad for you and milk products aren't bad…

It comes with the Insanity DVDs but if you google "Insanity Nutrition Plan", you should be able to find a pdf of it.

Maybe look on craigslist for a used bike. Or even better, switch it up and make up you own circuit...a few mins on the bike, then a video, then some treadmill time (maybe with headphones) and just kinda rinse and repeat :)

Your best bet is to use a heart rate monitor because it will vary greatly depending on weight, age and the intensity level.
