perfect! thank you :)

I think you have done incredibly well with your running, you also look amazing and I wish you all the best. You are always so positive and encouraging too :)

I don't have that much local knowledge yet, it has taken me a long time to get used to running on roads (instead of across/around fields where there is no public right of way). It's building slowly though :)

thanks Elizabeth, the more ideas the better :) my longest long runs (15 miles ish) are often closer to 3 hours, am very slow, that's a big chunk of a weekend day by the time I've stretched, showered, changed and stuffed my face (then sometimes I fall asleep which doesn't help!) but it will all get easier (I hope?) I can't…

mapmyrun is great, I love to analyse other people's routes but I can't zoom in closely enough to see exactly where they go sometimes - road? bridleway? footpath? but I think I've cobbled something together and will try it tomorrow - am sick of The Long Run trashing the whole weekend (obviously this will only get worse when…

I like out-and-back, it always feels easier coming back for some reason. The closer I get to my food the faster and stronger I feel :D
-
I love this too! I like to conquer a new one every now and then :)

My running group doesn't have many long distance runners, sometimes I can find someone but it's hard to match the distance I want at a time that suits both and finding a mutually enjoyable pace (I'm too slow for most people except a patient ultra marathoner training for a 100k) I've been lucky so far but it will be good to…

that's a good idea, I've got a 10k route that would loop twice really well without getting too boring.
-
you make it sound really nice :) I could try music, maybe not on the road though, but I think it might distract me from the actual running somehow. I don't know. Will take iPod and see how I feel.

this is the problem, EVERYTHING wants/has to happen at the weekend but if I could get used to doing them alone it would give me much more flexibility thanks for the good wishes, I hate treadmills but that's always an option!
-
why didn't I think of that? except it would mean running past 'home' which will test me!
-
bumping so I can read everyone's stats without sharing my own
-
wow that's amazing, well done :) any aches or pains today?
-
yeah, two chicks in Waitrose too, about £3 I think
-
have you made a decision? :) am still learning how to use the garmin connect thing, am duplicating stuff from here a bit but can add notes to each run about how much food/water I take before, during and after run and how enjoyable each one was (1 - not even slightly enjoyable at all really, 2 - enjoyable and horrible in…

it's a lovely and thoughtful idea, let us know what the family think when the time comes - sorry for everyone's loss, what a terrible shock for you all
-
that would be amazing! I LOVE Berlin!
-
I love the chat on there! abilify v cocaine mushrooms interactions with meds MDMA or cocaine (why not both, I wonder) thanks!
-
thanks vardaeml, am enjoying that site so far - any place with a discussion board called 'give me lithium or give me meth' appeals to me!

if I'm eating donuts it is happening in my sleep! I log everything and I round it up because I worry about the tendency to underestimate intake, overestimate activity (I use the Garmin numbers for calories burned, it's as accurate as these things are I think) looking at the reports on here (I weigh every day but don't…

ok, don't fully understand why I've gained weight if I've been undereating but I guess it will work itself out over time, thanks the friend who coaches me says the same, is just not enough food to support the running but he always says that and I think he has never been more than a couple of pounds above his personal ideal…

ouch poor you, are your feet getting wet while you run? had blisters on practically every toe recently, it was so painful, I did get fitted for new shoes but also lots of lovely socks - the best ones for me so far are Balega, they are softly padded, I can't remember which ones are their enduro and which are ultra enduro…

one meal is not going to make you fat is it! you have to put more effort in and consistently overeat over a period of time, it's not as easy as fat people make it look obviously don't have fries or anything like that
-
oh no :( even charity places? I don't mind a bit of fundraising! ETA - LOADS of charity places and unlike London you only need to raise about £1k

I thought I was eating quite a lot, have even gained weight in the past few weeks (4kg!) but the net calories do look quite low, especially on days of longer runs. Somehow I forgot or didn't have time for breakfast on Saturday and I don't think my body has quite forgiven me yet! I'm doing Edinburgh Cheval -…
-
so far I only have a local half marathon at the end of March and then Edinburgh marathon on 25th May would like to do the Berlin marathon (September I think) if I survive/enjoy the distance in May, can't think much beyond Edinburgh at the moment
-
thank you, that was very kind of you! have had toxicity a couple of times before so I know what to watch out for. At least my anxiety about it is helping me keep up with all blood tests for once in my life!
-
thank you everyone, and also to the nice people who sent PMs, I really appreciate it hadn't thought about the fact that some people might not feel thrilled about discussing their mental illness in a public place, bit insensitive of me, I just thought lots of people have bipolar, lithium is the main treatment for that, and…
