I've had mine for awhile now but had flaked out on wearing it for a couple of months. Now that MFP links with BM I'm wearing it again and have found it amazingly helpful! Before when I had to deal with two sites it was just a pain but now that they're linked they take care of the details and I just log on MFP. I can still…

No worries! My husband shaves his head and while I think he's sexy like that, I also think he's pretty sexy with a little stubble if he hasn't shaved in a couple of days. He doesn't have the Rip Van Winkle vibe at all!

Disco Inferno because for some reason my 12 year old son was singing it?!

I've never read the book so I can't comment on that but I did want to say if you're going gluten free it's in a whole lot more than just bread products! We're gluten free because a couple of us are intolerant to it (I feel like garbage when I eat gluten). We've had to learn to read labels very carefully as gluten is in…

We have several TV's but no cable or anything. Where we live we can't pick up any channels without subscribing and paying for some type of service. We got rid of cable about 11 years ago and have enjoyed the difference it's made for our family. The kids are definitely less materialistic without all those commercials…

Rosacea can be such a pain! I've had it for years and did topical gels for awhile but they didn't seem to help a whole lot and then I lost my insurance so there you go. :) I don't know if you've looked over your diet and removed things that aggravate it but if you haven't it's a good idea. Stimulants are the biggest thing;…

My oldest kid had issues that we thought were possibly diet related. We did a few rounds of cutting out and adding back foods that we suspected. None had any impact on her until we got to gluten but when we cut that out it was like a switch was flipped and a different kid appeared. It's just easier if inside our house we…

Mine is more consoling myself if I'm needing a pick me up. The other day I was extremely frustrated about something so my sweet husband brought me home two skeins of baby alpaca and two skeins of an alpaca/silk blend. Beautiful, soft yarny goodness and I didn't drown my frustration in chocolate!

Yes! Because she lives in another state and rarely visits!

Once a week I bake a big egg frittata thing then we just cut a chunk out and nuke it as we need it. The basics are eggs, a splash of milk or cream, mustard powder, salt and pepper and some cheese. Then we vary it depending on what I'm in the mood for or what's on hand, Peppers, chicken, beef, breakfast meat, vegetables of…

I'm gluten intolerant and my family is gluten free because several of us are. If we could eat gluten and still feel well we would! Most of what I wanted to say has already been said but I wanted to chime in an point out that you can eat a lot of gluten free junk! Just because something is gluten free doesn't means it's…

I make everything gluten free here even though not everyone in my family is. If they eat gluten outside our home then that's up to them but I can't risk contaminating my super sensitive kid so they can have a noodle. Fortunately they all understand and agree with this and I take great pains to make sure the food we're…

The first time I tried it I ignored the carrot sticks my friends were pushing and opted for cheetos instead. :blushing: In my defense, I can't stand carrots and the cheetos kinda resembled them so I figured close enough! I like red peppers and sugar snap peas. I'm sure there are other vegetables I'd like too but those are…

I love blending blueberries and strawberries with cocoa powder in my green smoothies! Thanks for sharing your version.

When ours were little we would occasionally take them but we only went when they were rested and not fussy. If they got fussy at the restaurant one of us would have taken them out immediately and the other parent would have asked for our food to be boxed up. When our son was a toddler we went to a nicer restaurant in the…

There is a woman on one of the TurboFire DVD's that has had triplets. One day while doing a workout for some reason I noticed her stretch marks but I'd been doing the DVD for quite a while before I caught them. She's just so beautiful and fit that it's about the last thing you'd notice and that was after watching her a…

One bathroom, six people (four of which are female!) Young guy neighbor who is a nice guy but does not have a regular job and keeps all hours. Also hasn't a clue when his music is so loud I can FEEL it in my living room which is on the side of my house farthest from him. You can imagine how it is in the bedrooms right next…

I'm coming to this thread late and only found it after searching for "dairy free" since one of my daughters (16) is eliminating it to see if it's the source of her issues. We are already gluten free as my older daughter has an intolerance. I wanted to chime in and encourage you to try going gluten free if the dairy free…

I make up a big egg bake once a week and we just cut pieces off and nuke them in the morning. It's pretty versatile but the basics are: 24 whole eggs 1-2 tsps mustard powder (roughly. I don't measure) 1/4 cup milk, half and half or heavy whipping cream (although forgot this part last time and it didn't make much of a…

When I want chocolate I just have some but not a lot. I adore super dark chocolate and I can buy very small bars of it that won't blow my calories all at once so that's what I do. I just buy one small one and enjoy it. Popcorn is like crack to me so I have to be careful with it. I pop my own in a little coconut oil so…

I'm gluten free due to an intolerance so I don't typically eat bread. When I do it's got to be gluten free and it just isn't the same as the wheat bread we're all used to. I make mine because I don't want to pay $7 for a loaf of specialty bread when it's cheap to make at home! Giving up bread doesn't mean that you have a…

I have four kids and spend far more on groceries than you do but I don't buy very much "snack" food. For snacks I buy one or two Costco bags of tortilla chips per month and that's it. If they have popcorn it's bulk kernels and they get to pop their own. The rest is fruit, cheese, raw vegetables and nuts. I'm also mean and…

I don't care for vodka or gin but I do like Rum and Cola. I don't do diet drinks (can't have the artificial sweeteners) but I don't want all the sugar. I found a soft drink that uses Stevia to sweeten it and it's perfect! Only calories are from the Rum and isn't too bad so I can enjoy myself without feeling like I'm…

I have a friend who is a professional belly dancer, does taekwondo and is very fit. She's always posting rants and articles about how evil Zumba is. As far as I can tell she's really advocating that people shouldn't do just cardio but should add weights in some fashion as well (which I agree with). But the way she rants on…

I love giving and receiving compliments like that. I especially love giving them. You never know, you might be the only person to say something nice to someone. I told an older lady that she looked stunning and I thought she was going to cry. She was so surprised and touched to have someone say that to her. She did look…

Quick dry clothes like under armor shorts. I always wore the compressions shorts under my pants for taekwondo in part because of that. The compression shorts took the moisture and were quick dry so I didn't look like I wet myself. I either wear quick dry shorts or the compression shorts under my workout pants and it works…

Brazil nuts. I love all nuts but Brazil nuts have always been my favorite!

Who knows why we started eating the things we eat? I love meat and feel better when I eat it than when I don't. I keep chickens and eat a lot of eggs but I have often wondered who initially decided to eat them. Why would you think to eat that thing that just came out of a chickens butt!? lol But they sure taste good!

For me it's not the fact that it's a carb that would effect me, it's that there is gluten in the pizza crust. Too many refined carbs I get jittery, shaky and ravenously hungry. When I'm glutened I get brain fog, nauseated, achy muscles, can't concentrate, sinus headache and a whole lot of fatigue. That's why low carb works…

If it's "fast food" I usually go for a Carl's Jr. Low Carb Six Dollar Burger and a water with lemon wedges in it. A lot of places will "low carb" your burger by wrapping it in lettuce. Even before low carbing I loved this because I've always peeled the bun off. :) Grocery store I grab a landjaeger or two (meat stick) and…
