"I want to EAT my calories...NOT drink them!" - me when I consider having a sugary drink.

I'm 24 y/o female, 5'4; current weight 130. Starting weight was 140. Been stuck at 130 for almost a month. Not a single ounce or centimeter loss. :( Diet is semi-clean 1400 calories a day. Exercise is a mix between Jillian Michaels dvds and jogging (trying to move from 5k to 10k).
I don't know where you live, but where I'm from, food prices are like triple these amounts.
I live in Georgia and shop at Kroger. They have a 10 for $10 special, where you can buy lots of frozen veggies, bread, canned goods for $1 each. BUT, I didn't include tax and as I mentioned, I don't think it is…

Yes, at the very least PLEASE get heart worm prevention. I had a dog die of heart worms, it was really sad knowing that she died from something we could have prevented! You owe it to your fur baby. You can shop around for the cheapest... .it doesn't have to be an expensive name brand. If your dog doesn't have a flea…

Are you paying for the dietician or are you somehow getting her services for free? If you are paying her, I recommend cut that immediately and use that money for food! $23 seems really low! Please cut gym memberships, tv, phone, etc.. whatever you have to do to find more money for groceries! If you really can't find any…

I started 30DS in the beginning of February. I'm not sure if I am what you are looking for, because I mix jogging in with various jillian michaels dvds I get off of youtube. BUT I usually only do one or the other and thus spend about 30 minutes a day exercising. I just recently bumped it up to 45 minute jogs, but that is…

I want to see the responses. I've been stuck at 130 for a month, doing about the same diet and exercise as you.

Go really slow! Also, do a modified version of C25K. Start with 30 seconds jogging and 3 minutes walking. Then every week either decrease the walking by 30 seconds or increase the jogging by 15 seconds... whatever you can do!

I can't believe how much soda some of those families drink!

All I know is it would include atleast 5 crispy cream donuts.

Me!! Me!!! I'm CHEAP, or as I like to say, frugal. I refuse to pay for a gym membership, so I jog and do free workout videos off of youtube with soup cans as my weights. I did buy yoga classes off of Groupon, but I'm half way finished with them.

I'd rather eat my calories than drink them. Just water.. sometimes with fruit in it. And earl grey tea...no sugar. And green smoothies (spinach, apple, banana, strawberries, milk, ice.) And wine. :D

Done. Yay!

I once saw two pictures that demonstrated what 1500 calories can look like. One picture was just a hamburger, fries, and a coke. The other picture was filled with nuts, lean meat, low fat cheese, whole grains, fruit, and veggies. I know this picture was designed to show how you get to eat more when you eat healthy, but…

I'm in. 20 down. I'll just keep doing sets of 20.

Trader Joes Champagne Pear Vinaigrette?!?!?!?! I must try this TODAY!

Most of them are on YouTube...you could try them out before buying them. Or do a mix of all of them! I did 30 day shred and now I'm doing 6 week 6 pack abs. I also did her yoga dvd once. I liked all of them.

That is a great idea! I'll do the running part, but I don't have access to a pool and biking makes my wrists hurt. :(

What about Teach for America or AmeriCorps or some other similar program for a year? You might be able to teach science. It will give you a year to rest, do something good for others, and get yourself together before you enter med school or a real career.

Finished! I liked that. Do another one tomorrow???

mmm.. sounding good, ladies! I do the crockpot salsa chicken sometimes, and never thought to make it into a Brunswick stew! Genius!

cooked in chicken broth then sautéed with mushrooms, spinach and a little white wine.

I LOVE veggies. I just ate some rutabagas and black eyed peas for lunch. mmmm....mmmmm.... Some of our favorites for dinner are: Baked sweet potatoes - grease up in olive oil and pumpkin pie spice and bake in foil Smashed cauliflower - steam for a long time in chicken broth, drain, and smash with laughing cow and spices…

Bump for later.

Asparagus - stick it in a bag with some olive oil and sea salt, shake around to coat well, stick on the grill - DELICIOUS! Cabbage - put in a foil packet with olive oil, seasonings that you like, bacon bits, maybe some lemon juice Foil packets with broccoli and carrots - maybe add a little honey after it cooks.…

Hm... maybe first try to figure out why you "fall off the wagon"? Do you get too hungry and not have any healthy snacks around? Does your schedule get really busy? Does something good or bad happen and you use food to either celebrate or try to make yourself feel better? Do you go out of town or a friend comes to visit?…

This topic is making me HUNGRY! Time for some string cheese and a boiled egg.... sigh.... My snack used to be about 10 fig newton fruit thins and two or three fun size snickers.

I'm in! and half way finished.

For potatoes, try smashed cauliflower. Steam fresh cauliflower for about 20 minutes in chicken broth, drain, then smash with one or two wedges of laughing cow cheese. Add salt, pepper, parmesan, basil or whatever you normally add to mashed potatoes. Tastes just like mashed potatoes (and that is coming from someone who…
