If you are staying in a hotel, you can check and see if they have a gym or pool and use that to workout before you head out for the day. Also, resistance bands are small and lightweight, so you could pack them to get some resistance training in while away. I've heard there are a lot of all you can eat buffets in Vegas…

Hey All, So, David's bridal called yesterday and my dress is FINALLY in! So, I think I'll try to swing across the border to get it next week sometime, maybe the weekend. I don't know how much time that leaves for alterations. :ohwell: But on the other hand, I've only lost 9 lbs since I bought the dress, so I don't…

I'm not going to lie, I love to listen to dance music and even techno when I workout... it's so energizing. Some of the tops on my playlist: With love - hilary duff piece of me - britney spears sorry - madonna hung up - madonna mr vain - culture beat (an oldie but a goodie) anything and EVERYTHING off dance mix…

sounds delicious, i'll have to try it next week. thanks for sharing

Thanks for the tip! Unfortunately, I haven't gotten my dress yet so I don't know if I'll have time to have them alter it, especially since I live in Canada and have to cross the border to get there  We'll just have to see... i know a few seamstresses, so hopefully it won't be a big issue.

Thanks! the dress size that I ordered was a david's bridal 16... I was in between... the 16 was a little loose and the 14 was snug, so I went with the 16. But that was also 9 lbs ago, and hopefully more by the wedding, Apr. 18. I dunno, every time I think about it I should've gone with the 14! But oh well, such is life.

One trick that I use to avoid frustration is by looking at this as a lifestyle change to better my health for the rest of my life. If you make it more about your health than about your number on the scale or the size of your jeans, you'll be a lot less frustrated, and the weight will eventually follow. Think about it....…

Are you working out? try adding some cardio and resistance (weight) training into your day to burn calories and kick up your metabolism. Be sure that you are eating all the calories you are allotted, even the ones earned in exercise. Be sure to drink all your water and get a good night's sleep every night. Hope that helps…

sorry, i haven't heard of it. although it would be interesting to learn more... i like dance videos because they're more fun than squats and crunches

Hi all, sorry I've been super busy with school and didn't notice the challenges. But I'll be sure to keep an eye out for the next ones I guess. Also, I'll try to get the image of my bridesmaid dress, it's pretty :) I can't wait til I actually get it, how motivating that will be!!! Also, I think as of a couple of days ago,…

Awesome job, you're doing so great and you look fantastic. Just a question... where do you go to get the computer images? I'm assuming it's some sort of a before and after? I've seen a couple profiles have them and I was just curious. Thanks!

Low fat dairy is good, calcium is supposed to help you lose weight. Or protein is also good after a workout.

Yes, I also use workout DVDs since I am in Canada, and it's mighty chilly. I had the VHS of tae bo with billy blanks, those were fun but I haven't gotten them on DVD and I no longer have a VCR. Also, I have tried slim in 6, great workout if you stick with it you do see results but it's not the most fun workout ever. I also…

Yes, I often feel that way. Sometimes it may be chalked up to stress or hormones, etc... but have you considered that it may be more than that? You might need to do some thinking about what's going on inside you, talk to a close friend, or someone you trust. You might find out some surprising things about yourself, I know…

I was recently on a road trip for an 8 hr drive each way. Anyways, I guess the area we were driving through was VERY into fast food, since it didn't seem like there was much else around. We ended up stopping at a Bob Evan's and I ordered an omelet that came with sausage and cheese. Boy, did I ever regret that later! And to…

I really love music that's upbeat - dance or techno are great! Songs I like working out to include Hillary Duff's "With Love", David somebody with "Love is Gone" and I like the Britney spears song "Piece of me".

Hi everyone! I just thought that I would say I'm up for this as well. I'm standing up as a bridesmaid on April 18th, so that doesn't give me too much time but I'm going to see what I can do. Currently, I've lost a few pounds, down about 7, and I'm hoping by the wedding to be down about 20 lbs overall, which I think is…

You can "earn" extra calories by entering in your exercise for the day. So, for example, if you burn 200 calories by exercising, your calories for the day should increase by 200 (ie. from 1200 to 1400). So, that's one way that you could gain a little extra calories for the day. Also, try to stick to lots of veggies for…

You are probably at a plateau, which is a natural thing that happens and the most important thing is NOT to become discouraged. You have already lost a substantial amount of weight, something to be VERY proud of  As for how to break the stand still... try increasing your exercise. I'm not really sure what you are…

Wow, great job! Makes my effort seem a little, well, less! I burned 252 calories doing 18 minutes of Turbo Jam.... first time I've tried it.

Hey, Don't give up it sounds like you're doing great! Treadmills can be really inaccurate, try getting a heart rate monitor instead with a calorie function for specific results. Also, you should be measuring yourself because you might be getting smaller without losing weight if you are putting on muscle, so I would suggest…

Hi, new to the site, since 30 jan. KRNELSO add me!

Thanks for the warning, I'm fairly new to the site but I've found that to be quite true! A few calories here and there can certainly add up. Especially when you're really trying to hit the target! I've tried adding lots of new foods.
