i can not believe i havent lost any m,ore weight i have been staying pretty much on target with caloires do u guys think i should lower my calories??? or what im not losing any more it is a stand still!!!!!!
HELP!!!!!!!

    You are probably at a plateau, which is a natural thing that happens and the most important thing is NOT to become discouraged. You have already lost a substantial amount of weight, something to be VERY proud of :smile:

    As for how to break the stand still... try increasing your exercise. I'm not really sure what you are doing, if you are more specific maybe I can help more. But, I would try perhaps increasing the amount of time exercising by a few minutes, depending on how much you workout now. Also, are you strength training? Building more muscle raises your BMR, so you will naturally burn more calories throughout the day. If you are strength training, you should consider upping the amount of weight, or changing up the routine to challenge your body in a different way.

    Also, it may sound a little weird, but you could try increasing the amount of calories you eat by 100 or 200 for a couple of days, and then back down to where you normally eat.

    Hi. I haven't seen u posting in a while so I thought either u were gone or computer broke. Glad to see you are still here. I know it is frustating to plateau but you will break thru it soon. I wasn't following my plan too well by not drinking water, but I just realized how much it helps. maybe you should start posting again b/c I find when I don't I start losing track.the mini challenges motivate me too.     Other then that, Yeah, it's been said above by Mystery. Hard to give any specific advice because we don't know what the specifics are, but I can tell you this. There are weeks where you will loose, and weeks where you won't. I see that you joined in December, and one thing you have to remember is that this is all new to your body, it takes a while to adjust to the new stuff. Your body will be changing things up and you need to be aware that things that worked at the beginning, may not work anymore. Also, remember, as you loose weight, to adjust your goals accordingly, maybe that 18 lbs dropped your goal calories by a hundred or two. That could be the difference. One last thing to remember is the body does have muscle memory, good for runners, bad for calorie burn. It means that your body will learn the most efficient way to use muscles for a specific exercise and if you do the same ones over and over for months, you will burn less calories then at the begining, so change it up ever few weeks, move from the treadmill to the eliptical, or the recumbent bike, or alternate between spinning and aerobics...etc.
