When I did the program I would burn about 100 calories per 10 minutes... so if it was 50 minutes I burned about 500 calories - pretty consistantly. I do weigh around 135 and am 5'3. I hope that helps.

I only use DVD's. Jillian Micheals and Bob Harper's DVD's are tough. Depending on what exactly you need. I would say look at any of their's. I have been doing Les Mills Pump - which is strength but that is a 90 day program so you get alot of DVD's but they are really effective.

I used to eat those all the time because they were quick and are good. But then I saw a new report that the FDA allows them to post calories within 25% difference + or -. ( I think that was the correct number) the point is that even though they say the calories it can be off. I eat them only once in awhile now.

this is absolutely correct! You never want to go below 1200 calories. Eat 1200 plus your excercise calories. Your body is in starvation mode and holding onto everything. You need to eat.

Hi John! Did you do any measurements when you started? The thing about P90X is that due to the gain in muscle you may not see much if any loss... I would expect that you should see some loss in weight so you probably need to adjust your calories or clean up your diet. There is a tendency to eat more with this program…

I am a huge fan of Turbo Jam / Turbofire. They are fun kickboxing cardio DVD's. And they burn tons of calories!

I am currently doing P90X2.... I have done P90X twice. The best advice I have is to stick with it..and do what you can. Coffee with cream and sugar.. I have cut back the sugar to 1 tbsp and 1/2 & 1/2 low fat creamer but will not go black or no sugar. Chocolate too... although again I try to limit the amount that I eat but will never ever remove from my diet. There are some things in life that are sacred! LOL

I do a health shake with fruit. Its quick and gives me the nutrients I need. You could also do nuts and dried fruit, cottage cheese and a cheese stick with a peice of fruit. A carb and protein will help keep you full and give you energey. It doens't have to be huge meal. Just something to get you going for the day.

You need to switch up your workouts. Your body is used to the activities you are doing plus you need to add some strength training. You need to build some muscle which will keep your metabolism higher and help your body burn more calories.

Have you ever done HIIT workouts? its where you do high intesity for a 60 seconds then low intesity. You want to get your heart rate up really high. It blasts fat and you burn a ton of calories.
