Thanks for the FR! :) I love to motivate, log daily, and exercise 6 days a week, for anyone else looking for a supportive friend.

I have been called tall before, and I'm 5' 7 1/2", but I do have long legs so I think I look taller than I am. I don't consider myself to be tall, more like an average height. I think 5'9" and taller is tall.

I am the HR rep at a nursing home. Our dress code states: "Tattoos that are visible shall not be offensive and must keep within a professional image." I just got my first tattoo last week, which I chose to put on my inner bicep so that if need be, it can be hidden, although it is just my kids' first initials and their…

Amazing transformation, Toni!! I am so proud of you.

OMG, I took propranolol in the past to help prevent migraines. Did it cause night hallucinations for you? I was on it for maybe 3-4 weeks and I have NEVER hallucinated before (never done any street drugs so this was new to me)...suddenly I was having crazy scary dreams and seeing things from my dreams in my room when I was…

You look amazing!!! Great job -- great progress. I love that definition there now.

Weighted squats and lunges are what I do. I love them, even though they are hard work! Leg day is Saturday for me....
-
I think I'm just hungry all the time... so I try to drink a lot of hot tea now and that has helped tremendously with my cravings.

New workout clothes, always form-fitting so I don't let myself wear something baggy (which would essentially mean I could slack -- gotta stay trim for my workout gear), new summer clothes once we get closer.... daily dark chocolate or other chocolate. TEA. I stress the importance of not totally depriving.

Norwegian, Polish, and Bohemian on one side... French, German, and a little bit of Irish on the other. I am quite the mutt! ;)
-
Dark chocolate. I like Chocolove raspberry and also, Lindt Sea Salt & Caramel. Yum.

I have the FT4 which I think is a "lesser" model... I LVOE mine!! The best thing about the HRM is that if you see your heartrate getting lower, you can push yourself right then and there and get it up there. I started off with right around 280 calorie burns and now get 100 more calories in the same workout, just by pushing…

Work it off and know for next time. LOL. I am so happy I discovered tea, but I drink it with just water. No sweeteners or anything.
-
LOL. I have yet to encounter any one that HATES chocolate. Some may not have quite the affinity for it, but yeah. As a kid I didn't care for it much, now it has to be in my bloodstream at some point during the day.

This makes sense. A friend online was recently asking about a Fitbit and complaining about the cost so I suggested the HRM... she said, well, for $30 more I'll take the fitbit. I guess if she is walking/running... makes more sense. But I like seeing caloric burn and heartrate.
-
+1 I think there are 2 different goals/purposes so it's a good idea. For me, I am all about the burn and heartrate.... I used to go walking but after 12 years of powerwalking, I barely even broke a sweat, even after 4 miles. So I am not going to obsess over getting steps in. It's all about personal goals and what YOU want.

I am happy to see people right around where I am at. Sometimes I feel like I eat like a "man", but I know I workout hard and need to fuel my body.
-
I own the Polar FT4 so I can't compare, but I really like it!! I think my battery is finally starting to go after close to a year of daily use. It really pushes me to workout harder when I see my heartrate constantly.

First off, hats off to you!! I am a tandem nursing mama but they are 18 months apart. I am always in awe of mamas of multiples who nurse (although I would do the same). You are doing such good! For me, it was about 6 months postpartum that I really started losing weight. By a year, I kind-of get to a point where I can't…

I am lucky if I get 100 grams a day of protein, as I don't take any sort of supplement/powder/drink. It is so sporadic, that I am not overly worried. I had them nightly when I was pregnant and that was just frustrating (charlie horses). Ouch!

Chocolate... another daily fix I have to get in. It's my weakness!
-
Hm, interesting! I never even thought to link that. I do know I eat plenty of bananas so my potassium should be fine.
-
I always track them, fruit and all. LOL! I can't see not! A banana is around 100 calories and should "count".
-
Mine does great in just a ponytail, but my hair isn't overly thick.
-
I have plenty of snacks on hand at work... Greek yogurt is my breakfast as well as my afternoon snack, bananas, an apple, I'll have a handful of almonds most days... the other thing that has REALLY helped me is (hot) tea. I never used to like it but I think I didn't give it a fair shot. There are some awesome flavors that…

I get these too -- just had one the other night, in fact. I think stretching before/after a workout is supposed to help. I always am good about doing it before, but am going to try after too to see. HTH!

YES, for me. If I start gaining (even water weight), my belly is the first and only place it shows. I watch my diet and cut even just the water weight out and I'm back down 3 lbs and my abs look better. My belly is kind-of my "guide" on how I am doing with my diet.
-
A typical day for me: Breakfast: Fage Greek Yogurt & a banana Morning snack: some sort of chocolate (lately, 3 Musketeers bar), tea (at least 2 cups, if not 3) Lunch: A healthy, homemade meal (sometimes a sandwich, other times spaghetti, chicken, fish, meatloaf, or some other concoction served with veggies on the side).…

LOL, thanks! To be fair, I had asked for one. But I was definitely self-conscious as it was between pregnancies and I wasn't working out... just wanted to keep tabs on my weight.

I got a scale for my birthday once. Probably not the best gift to receive...
