Set the Scooby calculator to your activity level and goal... for me (wanting to gain muscle, lose fat) with a moderate level of exercise (6 days at the gym), it has me with a TDEE of 2105. I try and be about 200 calories under and it's worked well for me. :) The 1200 calories when I started this was not enough and I was so…

True story: I have taken a couple cruises and was in Cancun for a week. Continental breakfast meant an entire plate of bacon every morning, with maybe a little fruit too.

We will grill out with my family so I'll pretty much be eating healthy anyway.

Hot dish. I'm from the Midwest and it's what we do. LOL.

I have about 4 girlies on my list crushing on me all the time! LOL! They're sweet though... :)

Bacon with a side of bacon and Dr. Pepper.

The Y will be closed so that's a major catastrophe for me, but I'll be okay and eat smart and then do my workout on Friday instead which is my normal rest day.

Only one. :blushing: He knows.

If interested, I can share my postpartum pics compared to now. It DOES take time and only 11 weeks out, don't be too hard on yourself. I was not happy with my body at that point yet... but over time I did tone up, and I have three children. If you wanted to, you could try some core work because I found the biggest…

Use the Scooby calculator and figure out your calories based on activity. As for me, I workout 6 days a week (alternating days of cardio and strength training with one rest day on Friday). On the calculator, I pick the "moderate" category, as my job is a desk job but I am working out roughly 5 hours per week when I add it…

YES. Exclusively nursing (no solids, supplementing or anything) burns around 500 calories a day. I am tandem nursing toddlers and the two of them burn 400 calories a day for me. Months of being on here, I have pretty much confirmed this is the case, as I have been logging calories and allowing for nursing calories (it was…

Years ago, I was on Topamax and I do remember losing a small amount of weight as a side effect. I was also on 100mg of Imitrex to be taken at onset of headache. I went off all meds in 2006 to TTC and my migraines disappeared... (turns out it was the hormonal BC that was causing my migraines for all those years). Seven…

I haven't ever seen anything inappropriate at the Y I go to. The only thing that makes me want to die (and this is just a mental thing for me) is when it's super hot and people come in with hooded sweatshirt. The a/c is already half broken there so it is HOT... and looking at the sweatshirt makes me feel like melting, but…

BUTTER always. Margarine = no way. We buy the Full Circle Organic brand butter. It's actually a good price. Olive oil is something I use often as well.

I don't have THAT high of caloric burns but I try to eat back most of my exercise cals, but still be at a little deficit. I have been maintaining since around March and my weight has not wavered (not counting the fact that I'm usually 2-3 lbs higher at night versus in the morning, but that's normal). :) I do 2104 net…

MFP's standard caloric recommendation is set really low. I know when I first joined, looking to lose 5 lbs and then maintain, it told me 1200 calories. So I followed that for about a month and found I was always hungry. ALWAYS. I asked my friends, who told me about the Scooby calculator and I've been doing great ever since…

So true on the Youtube!! You can do SO many exercises at home with the help of the internet, some dumbbells, and your own body. Pushups: totally free, and a great place to start. I am lucky because I am the sole provider of income for my family of five, so I qualify for a cheap Y membership. I only pay $13 a month for the…

Full-time job, 2nd part-time "job" doing photography, 3 kids five and under, no excuses.

I can't predict what I will eat, so while it is generally the same kinds of foods, I log throughout the day AFTER the fact.

Congrats, yes! All of you! I know a year ago, I was the same weight as now and I bought these size 4 pants, I thought I was doing pretty good. This was before working out, so I was basically thin, but not toned. Those pants are HUGE on me, I can't even wear them now because they are baggy and unflattering. I definitely saw…

Before and after. Main difference being strength training. I didn't see much definition in the abs until I started that.... Highly recommend a good strength training program 3 days a week and then just do your cardio the other days if you wish. :) That's what I do.

Better make it 10 ears. My kids are pigs. LOL!

Yep, as long as you send me some GMO-free husks of corn. :)

You can only find the best of both, and beer aplenty, in Wisconsin. We're the best.
