Welcome to the group, Heathyr! Put the past behind you and look ahead. Don't let past mistakes drag you down. Leave the past in the past. What matters now is TODAY. For some of us, we need to take it one day at a time. Do you have a plan that you like, that you believe is do-able? Different plans work for different people,…

People ate healthier before television, right? Advertising works; otherwise, they wouldn't spend millions on it. I like your attitude of taking control and ignoring the advertisers. And, I respect how much you've lost and am trying to get there myself.

I got a fitbit that tracks how many steps I take every day. It also calculates how many calories burned. I find that it is fun and motivating to get out and walk more. Just mentioning it, because it might help you, too. God bless you.

Not only does your tummy look leaner, but your face looks leaner as well. Five pounds of body fat is a lot. 1/4 pound of butter is one cube of butter. So five pounds gone is 20 cubes of butter gone. Plus, you might have added some good lean muscle, so it's more like 6 or 7 lbs. fat gone. GOOD work!!!!!

Welcome! I started again yesterday myself. I'm reading a fantastic book, an international bestseller, and this is a plan (not a traditional diet, but a different plan) that I think will actually work for me for the long haul. Different plans work for different people, but what I love about my fitness pal is that it keeps…

I just started this week, so I'm not in a position to give advice, but I, too, suffer cravings for a treat at night. So far, I've gotten through it by telling myself, "You can look forward to having more to eat tomorrow." I also like to read a good book at night, so that's a distraction and takes my mind off of food. Now I…

I just started today. I'm happy to be anyone's friend. I am serious about getting into cute shorts by summer.
