  • If your teacher is making you feel uncomfortable in class, regardless of the reason, or is asking you to do something that makes you feel uncomfortable, that is not okay. Not okay. You can talk to a dean, the chair of the department or the teacher. You have people you can talk to so that the classroom is about the subject…

  • I'm on statins despite my good cholesterol and good blood pressure because of genetic factors. So at 39, I have the veins of a 52 year old. That was so scary to hear. I have to do my very best because my insides are way older than my outsides, apparently! The doc says it is reversible so here I go! Weight loss (the doc…
  • Dude, no way! 18lbs lost is great! If I could lose 18 pounds starting today, that would be such an achievement. I know you didn't lose that by doing nothing. Honestly, you so totally deserve a reward at the 'end' (I know maintenance means it never ends but you know what i mean). Mini-goals with rewards works great, too.…
  • My husband sometimes says things that he's thinking, but aren't what I want to hear. Sometimes I say: I need some encouragement now, from you. Sometimes I say: I need some empathy, not advice. Sometimes I just let it go. He's a great, great guy but he's no psychic LOL. Ask for what you want, cuz he might just not be clued…
  • I was the largest I have ever been at my wedding. I know it was probably difficult in some ways to end it with your boyfriend: thank goodness you did it! I'm glad you're getting healthy for YOU. You sound like a strong person, I know you can do this. You'll find someone who loves you for you.
  • If you're doing everything right and it's not working, maybe you need to take a closer look. Do you know your body fat percentage? Do you have a heart rate monitor? If you are eating under maintenance, you will lose over time. So I wonder are you measuring food accurately with a scale? Maybe if you spend a couple of weeks…
  • Throw that pie in the bin! I've done it to 'those foods' that are hanging around.
  • I'll bet that girl knows exactly how much sodium she's eating. That look is 80% diet for sure. I'll bet she spends more than 10 minutes on abs, too. You could probably get her abs with some focus on your diet and a little more working out. I'd skip that tan, though, LOL.
  • Thanks for posting pics, it's very encouraging to me (I'm on day 13). You can see a big difference in your midsection. Congrats on finishing! I'm also having a hard time staying under calories while shredding. As long as we're not gaining it all back, it's not so bad :)
  • Try no yolk pasta. It's in the kosher section of the supermarket.
  • Friend people on here, or even better, do it with a real life person you can be accountable to.
  • I used to feel so hungry too. Now, five months later I can eat a regular portion and feel full and okay. We use smaller plates so our plates look as full as they used to, LOL.
  • I feel like I'm going backwards in time. Like, I am a time traveler. I look like I did when I was younger, I feel like I did when I was younger, and I want to do the things I did when I was younger like dance around my living room and shave my legs. My husband, who is on MFP with me, looks like a college kid these days.…
  • You look like a different person. You look so happy, fit and young. Inspiring!
  • Yeah I notice there is no before/after HCG thread. If there is one, I'd love to see it.
  • Your results are so inspiring. I am on Day 3 of Level 2, trying to do 10 days on each level. I compared pics of from before to today... I could barely see any difference. So to see your results is really inspiring right now. Thanks for posting, it really helps.
  • Congratulations, you are awesome. Inspiring!
  • Your results are dramatic. You look amazing. I'm on day 13 of shred and I've been disheartened to the point of tears. Thanks so so much for posting these pics. I've looked at my pics from day 1 and day 12 and seen barely any change at all. Your pics inspire me to keep going! If I could look like you right now, that would…
  • I lost 20 pounds over four months on MFP without exercise. However, now I'm exercising. I have 15lbs to go and I am caring more about how I feel, inches off and my appearance than I did about numbers on the scale. I want to rock that bikini, and I do have more strength and energy. Thank you Jillian Michaels, for your 30…

  • Take care of yourself, for yourself. You choose where you eat, when you eat, what you eat. You are in charge of you. No one is holding a gun to your head, making you eat at a fast food place. If he isn't with you, he isn't with you: take control!
  • I thought i was so healthy, and my problem was portion size. Wrong! I ate rice for three, I used five times as much oil in cooking than I needed, and I drank a day's worth of calories in lattes, coffees and teas. I thought a bagel had fewer calories than a donut, and I ate butter but avoided ice cream... I was clueless! I…
  • Those pants are hanging off you in that pic: you've lost some sizes there for sure!
  • Thanks for the encouragement! I'm very happy with 30 day shred. I just log the exercise as cardio, 150 calories burned. I'm guessing conservatively based on other people's posts. I'm going to take the circuit training tip and start logging it as that.
  • It's easier to lose 10lbs in 10 weeks if you are heavier. The lighter you are, the harder it is. Phase 5. End game. 5 or 6 months in you are probably working on that "last 10 pounds". This can be discouraging for many as it is a slow burn. Remember, your body probably feels like it is where it needs to be, your brain might…
  • Wow, you're not even halfway through it! I'm on day 3, and I am so inspired. Thanks so much for posting pics. This is really going to help me get through today's workout. It shows a great change in your waist and arms, and not even 2 weeks of shredding! You rock and thanks again for putting up picks. I took my befores,…
  • I'd be worried about chemicals leeching out of the plastic. You can microwave them in a bowl: still no oil and no fear of plasticy cooties. :)
  • You're on MFP because you care about your health. Please also consider your mental health and well-being. Can you go home to family, or stay with friends? I know it is very hard to ask for that type of thing, but people will really surprise you with how supportive they can be. Please ask three friends/family members today…
  • Agree. I was over for all of March and I still lost, just not as much.
  • Thanks, kykykenna!
