Actually nope. I take almost no chemical medications. And no prescription meds.

I have fibromyalgia.

I really loved Silmarillion too. Mostly because I liked reading mythologies when I was a kid. But I also loved that Middle Earth was created with music.
-
History of Middle Earth wasn't written by Tolkien. I imagine we'll get to Silmarillion and Unfinished Tales at a later date. The group did the Hobbit in May.

@UglyDucklingmfp this isn't a group. It's a thread. You need to bookmark it so you get notifications when others post.

I just joined an Inklings group and we’re all going to read the trilogy for discussion. One “book” a month for six months. I’m psyched. Haven’t read the whole thing in years.
-
I noticed that too. Thought I might have broken the thread or something.
-
Also she never said anything about going away at all.
-
I actually can answer that. PinkyPan hasn’t posted on her MFP feed for over 2 months. We’re all worried about her and missing her. But I don’t think anyone on MFP knows her personally.

It's been a bit comical, actually. On one hand, it's easier to say no. OTOH, trying to figure out what to reintroduce means I'm researching about it and that triggers videos on YouTube with recipes galore. One intriguing thing was accidentally finding a fat-free vegan potato salad recipe using pureed potato to make the…

Wow - did I just break the thread?

So here's a weird thing. I saw that vid before it was released to the public. It was an advert for a company that a friend of mine worked for at the time.

😅😅😅

I went a bit drastic this week after too much overeating and stress eating. (Ate 2/3rds of a 10 inch pizza on Monday the same day I got a call from the doctor's office telling me my cholesterol is up.) Started on Tuesday going completely vegan and cutting out almost all gluten to sort of reset myself. Not surprisingly I…

What did you all think about the Sony/Marvel/Disney kerfuffel over the last couple of days?
-
@glovepuppet Thanks, I have been considering those. It's the cost more than anything that stalls me on such things.
-
@Hilogirl2018 - I actually prefer not to use chemical meds unless absolutely necessary. The back spasm it was unavoidable - I could barely move and had to take ibuprofen twice in one day. After that, the pain was bad but bearable. I've never heard of CTD, but no one else that I'm aware of in my family has had the problems…

I thing a lot of it is due to fibromyalgia. Going for a podiatrist appointment to try to figure out the problem with my ankles. The weird thing is that out of the blue back in January my right elbow went ballistic - took almost two weeks to find out it was tennis elbow - tendinitis. And it took over six months before I…

All my life I've always been able to get myself moving - I was a dancer, a martial artist, rode horseback, worked out on my own, even started a personal stair climb challenge. The last three years, my body has been betraying me making strenuous exercise next to impossible. Last fall, I participated in a yoga for weight…

I'd like to join. I need to find more support and motivation. Thank you.

Is this a sort of private thread? I was hoping to find some kindred spirits. But the conversation seems like it’s just between a couple of people.

I'm trying again to work on myself and after dinner snacking seems to be my biggest problem right now. Breakfast, lunch, and even dinner I do okay. But almost immediately after dinner the snacks start. Today I theoretically burned over 500 calories cleaning around my apartment and still managed to snack myself out of all…

Anyone else here from Pittsburgh?

Is this the thread where all the cool kids hang out?

New to the group, but not to the Leslie Sansone program. I have some physical challenges and love how easily adaptable her walking program is. I do like walking outside but when the weather is crap (which right now is pretty much always! ;->) I really enjoy moving with these videos. Very happy to have found an…

I'm in Pittsburgh too. Feel free to add me, if you like.

A great way to give yourself a gentle boost about your weight loss - go to a store and pick up something that's the equivalent of the pounds you've dropped. Carry it around the store for about ten minutes. Then put it back and walk through the store again.

:/ I keep losing this thread. Is there a way to find it easily?
