Im on week 6 of the C25K running program so very active at the moment, training at least 3 times a week, also walking and swimming too.

I also work long hours, I don't normally get home until 8pm. I have started running 3 times a week for 30mins. I also have a few healthy ready meals that I can put in the oven (that take 30mins to cook), so by the time I get back from my run my food is ready. At least with running you don't have to drive to a gym or a…

By the end of the 5k program I would be able to run 3.1 Miles. I complete this in 3 weeks. Currently I must of run well over 1 mile (around 2-2.5 miles), so looking at your schedule it looks do-able. Thank you :)

Thank you! Very good advice!! I invested in some new running shoes last week and got properly fitted out, which made a great difference to my running. Def want to give it a try but didnt wanted to be realistic too! Well done to you by the way, you have done an amazing amount of races and marathons!

I finish week 9 in 3 weeks time which leaves me about 1.5 months to train for 10K. So do you think its do-able?
-
Thank you, wasnt sure if I was craming in the training and being over ambitious?

Dont be afraid, it just your mind telling you that you can't do it! Your body will be ready by then! I took it slower at start of the run and then found my own natural pace. you will be able to do it no probs!! X

Hi Pam, I have been eating all my calories and eating back my exercise calories too, I did some searches on this forum and some people eat their fitness calories and some people dont (it seems to be a hot debate) I'm thinking I may try 'not' to eat the exercise calories back to see if that works for me. As so far my body…

Hi Susan, what processed food should I cut out, I mainly cook from scratch so I didnt think my diet was full of processed foods. I have the odd slice of low fat chedder cheese in my sandwich (I dont eat meat only fish). Do you mean cut out bread as well? x

Hi Kapeluza, Really appreciate your long post, were you also a slow looser? I eat all my allowed calories (currently my diary is set to loose 2 pounds a week) and eat most if not all of my exercise calories, I also put everything down as I am dedicated to loosing weight (event the odd cheeky glass of vino is never…

I wouldnt mind so much if I was just slowly 'loosing' but I gain back what I loose, so its one step forward one step back (or in some cases two steps back). Really getting me down :(
-
Thanks Gritgirl, I do try and eat quite a few veggies and have tried to up my fruit intake (which used to be really low) but def could eat some more. Thanks for taking the time to look! :)

My target weight is around 9 stone so I have about 30 pounds to loose.
-
Just worked out how to open my diary, feel free to have a look. Thanks x

To be honest I dont have super high expectations of weightloss (i.e 20 pounds a month) as I generally have seen very slow weight loss ever since I experienced a period of stress and illness, but I would hope that I wouldnt be gaining the same few pounds that I loose (one step forward two steps back). Its really…

Hi I'm on week 2 and have the iphone app, really easy to use. It has definitely inspired me to keep running, clears your mind as well as (hopefully) getting rid of a few pounds. Will be investing in some good running shoes soon as my lower back is starting to ache. x
