thank you, if it gets worse I will see the doctor. I guess if I have to go back on med's then its better than being ill again

I have managed to cut out pretty much all 'bad' foods, apart from the odd bag of low fat/ calorie crisps, maybe I should introduce some stuff like dark chocolate and brazil nuts to give me a boost, thanks for your advice x

Hi Carolyn, My low mood started around the beginning of the summer (June). I can feel myself cutting myself away from friends and social activities and feel numb. The exercise and diet gives me something to focus on and I am exercising everyday and eating as well as I can... but not looking forward to the long dark days of…

Whatever you decide your friends on MFP will support you! :)

I dont spend any money on exercise, I just run or power-walk and do strength training at home (from DVD or book)

I'm 5'4 and currently 151pounds, wanting to loose another 26 pounds
-
Im approx 26 pounds overweight and only 5'3 and in the upper part of the 'overweight' BMI (I am in no doubt overweight'). I wont let her comments stop me but I was very suprised with her persistance that I stopped loosing more.
-
I changed my status from sedentary to active once I started doing the C25K plan as I knew I would be training at least 3 times a week.

Thank you hun! Yes I love running and you guys are always great with the support on MFP, I guess I was just taken a back by her comment (especially as I dont think I look different at all) so kinda weird to be told to stop slimming. I am really happy with my progress, the weight loss if very slow but now I can run and I…

Thank you! I am def going to speak to her about it as I dont want it to become a major issue between us, I signed up to my first 10k race and want to really get into my training so could do with the support from my circle of mates.
-
I totally hear ya, it was out of character of my friend to discourage me (but have not really been in a situation where I have lost weight in her company before) and I most wouldnt drop my mates over nothing. I would however distance myself if it meant staying on track with my weight loss. My mate has seen me a lot slimmer…

Its actually really lovely! You can eat it in a jacket / sweet potato instead of normal cheese. I ate it on a salad today with mackeral and lettuce. You can add to a normal sandwich as well, just add salad / ham / tuna whatever you normally put in your sandwich.

Thank you! And thanks to everyone for ALL your opinions and advice, very much appreciated! x

Yes agreed, for me its about being healthy rather than being 'skinny' I love my running program and it makes me feel well mentally and physically!

My breakdown was related to stress and trauma, the weight gain came about as a bi-product of the breakdown (medication etc). At the time the weight gain didnt bother me as it was way down on the list of things that I needed to deal with. However after the worse of the breakdown was over I pieced together my life the weight…

Thanks everyone, its weird how friends change. My friend is slim and curvy (looks fab) and does get lots of attention as she is gorgeous, but I have never seen a jealous side of her (until now). Thanks for all the encouraging comments, I may distance myself from her for a while. If some of my mates are not going to be…

Sounds like you are on the right track! The last couple of weeks of the program you start relaxing into your running style and naturally find your rhythm, I used to go quite slow and then found that is was a lot more harder running at that speed, I actually found it easier going slightly faster (not sure why!). So now I…

Cool! Good luck with the program, there are some lovely running routes in our area :)
-
Well done to you as well, you seem to be near the end of the program, not long to completion :)
-
Great program! Just finished it today ran my final 30mins and then ran another 30mins, so actually finished with a 10k run :)

Such a great program! I've just signed up to my first 10k! Yikes!! Just 6 weeks ago I could run a few mins without being puffed out! Good luck with the program :)

I have connected with a great couple of ladies who always encourage me, it actually made me realise how much it helps having extra support! Look forward to connecting ;)

Just changed by settings to 'lightly active' it gave me the same goal of 1200
-
My daily goal is 1200 + exercise, what do you mean about my own daily goals?
-
I do stick to the program, I dont eat all my exercise calories though, I used to eat them all and still wasnt loosing weight.
