I bike on my off days, except for Sundays on which I take a break from exercising.

That's awesome, numindan! I'm hoping to get to Rivendell by the end of summer.

I started out by running in the afternoons or evenings, but now it fits better in my schedule to run in the mornings. I live 3 houses away from a high school, so I go running on the high school's track.

I am on c25k week 7. I run 3-4 x's/week, usually 4, but I only move on to the next c25k week when it turns the next calendar week. Hope that makes sense!

I have never been a runner, but decided to give c25k a shot. (I am following the Christian indie podcast version.) After doing the first run and barely being able to do the 1 min running intervals, I am proud to say that this morning, 6 weeks later, I completed week 6 day 3, running for 25 minutes straight! It's hard for…

232.55 miles done! I'm almost to Weathertop and am over halfway to Rivendell! Whoo hoo! "Follow path south toward Weathertop: path is cunningly hidden and is edged with stones where land is open. Sam recites part of The Fall of Gil-galad."

Thanks so much for all the encouragement, everyone!

c25k is the couch to 5km running program. Over the course of 9 weeks, it takes you from being a couch potato (aka non-runner) to running 5km (3.1 miles). Just google "c25k" and you'll be able to find out lots of info about the program.
-
That is awesome! Someday I hope to get there. Whose journey did you follow once the fellowship split?
-
As of today (5/14/12), I'm at 194.95 miles. "Camp in eastern part of the Marshes. See flashes of light in the east during the night (Gandalf on Weathertop)." Only about 45 more miles to Weathertop.

I started this journey last summer, mostly with biking. Didn't do anything since about September. Now that the weather's nicer, I'm motivated to get back on track again, picking up where I left off with mileage. I recently started a c25k program, and I hope to start biking to and from work again once it's not so cold in…

Does he have a bike? Biking can get your heart rate going, and you can cover a lot more ground than walking so the scenery doesn't get boring.

I hit 138 miles today. Made it to the Prancing Pony in Bree and am on the road again. Whoo hoo! Travelling with Aragorn now.

I've biked all my miles on the road so far. I use maps.google.com to check my mileage, but I there are usually just a couple of routes that I do which I know the mileage of, so I don't need to check them on google every time.

This is what I do, too.

Awesome! You look beautiful! And congrats, too!

What a surprise that will be for your hubby! You look great! Thanks for sharing your pics as my starting weight and goal weight are the same as yours, so you've really given me some motivation and inspiration.
