  • Be aware that the names of fancy rolls vary by restaurants (though I think california and spider rolls seem to be very consistent). The volcano roll at my local place is nothing like the volcano roll in the picture.

  • Cr01502 - that was sooo mean. Those looked oh so good. Now I am dying for fancy sushi tonight even if it does put me way over my calorie count. Beginner rolls: salmon avocado, tuna avocado, california, rainbow, shrimp tempura and spider roll are all good suggestions. Eel has a VERY strong taste and even afterdecades of…

  • ^^^This, though two weeks might be a little short. I am NOT a morning person but after struggling with trying to find a consistent time with very long hours at work, wife, two teenage daughters, I decided that was the only time that I could consistently do it so it is up at 5:30 - 5:45 Tuesday through Friday to take out…
  • No one has mentioned my favorite: Voskos 2x protein/non-fat. It does not taste like no fat greek yogurt, Lots of flavors. Only one I am not in love with is the pomengranite because the real pomengranite bits tend to get stuck in my teeth and I am not a big pemgranite fan tostart with. Try a few varitieis. They have…
  • You can add me if you want but if it looks like you had a bad day I will tell you that too and offer encouragement to get back on track.
  • Thanks to both of you for working for the public good.
  • That's every week late January to April 15.
  • Stop whining. It's tax season! Monday-Friday 8 to 8. Saturday 8 - 4.
  • Tan and Anorexic is gross.
  • Thank you Like A T Rex. Sounds loke I will have to wait until after tax season or until after kods are done with school in the spring.
  • Thanls for posting this. O am in exactly the same situation. Here is hoping we get an answer!
  • If you are looking for healthy and itis real Mexican food not just a taco/burrito/fajita place: one of the shrimp or fish dishes with vegetables or a steak. Black beans istead of refried, skip the rice and sour cream and chips. From my favorite Mexican Restaurant, Don Jose in East Hanover, NJ: RED SNAPPER OR SALMON GARLIC…
  • H: 5'10" Male Highest: 190 (about 6 years ago) Lowest: 166 (past 2 days) Current: 166.5 (this a.m.) Goal: 165 (haven't hit it yet) and getting TONED I don't remember what I weighed in High School, but my waist size is now 32. Hasn't been there since Junior High.
  • Do what works for you. I eat a banana before my morning workout; then breakfast; snack around 10:30/11 (yogurt/nuts/fruit); lunch around 12:30/1:00; afternoon snack (fruit/nuts); dinner around 7; sometimes a late evening snack. I have portion control issues and the snacking keeps me from getting too hungry and overeating…
  • Wow. Keep on going and do not get down on yourself. There are chair exercises you can do designed for people to do at their desk at work. Light stuff but helps and keeps you in that exercise groove, if that is the issue with exercising. I am sure you and your doctor can find some exercises that you can do. Look behind you…
  • Everybody gets down sometimes. The you should always be optimistic and happy jive is just that. I am guessing that you work hard to stay fit and eat healthy. Dig deep and push yourself through this down period knowing it will not last. As Winston Churchill said: If you are going through hell don't stop. I find focusing on…
  • Querian nailed it. Not in college but working 10 - 12 hour days, a little less on Saturday, and the long hours do trigger more hungry feelings. I am keeping lots of non-messy fruits - things I can eat while working - such as apples, bananas, pears, cut up fresh fruit salads with melons and grapes, strawberries,…
  • I find once a month does it for me. Any more than that and I just feel to dang clean and sterile.
  • So, a bunch of the stuff can be made in large quantity, so have lasagna one night but make a quadruple batch. Take the extras and wrap or put into containers in Husband size portions and store in the freezer or refrigarator. Cook healthy dinners you like for you and you will have a supply of his pre-made meal for him ready…
  • I do one rest day a week BUT if I start feeling sore or I need a break on a non-rest day I will do yoga for that days activity so I am not doing nothing but it does let my body stretch out and recharge. If 2 off days doesn't feel right or necessary to you dropping to 1 rest day and 1 yoga or light exerccise day may work.…
  • Farting doing sit-ups.
  • So. How loud was it?
  • Sounds like best gym ever.
  • Buy a dog and slip your food under the table to the dog when your boyfriend is not looking. Seriously, though, I agree with the many others who think it sounds like you need more help than you can get from an online forum. If your BF isn't helping you be a better person, and from the little you told us he is definetly not…
  • Um, yeah, went off on a major league rant. I was just asking. No need to get all preachy.
  • In addition to the wonderful advice of making sure you are eating enough, eating healthy, drinking lots of water, getting enough rest, MAYBE you need to start with a more modest goal to set yourself up for success. Instead of an hour a day everyday maybe a 1/2 hour a day 4 days a week and an hour 1 or 2 times a week. Also,…
  • If you are making this at home try substituting low sodium or no sodium broth for the water to boost the flavor. I do not know if you are using white rice or brown rice but brown rice has more flavor to it (as well as nutritional value) than white rice. Also, I assume you are not just eating rice, but you are having other…
  • 1. Find a non-food reward that works for you. We all need goals and rewards along the way. 2a. Just because you have a set back doesn't mean you give up. Go off your diet or miss your goal one? Think about why, what triggered it, what need you had that was satisfied by going on the binge, then experiment with other ways to…
  • False, unless that is some strange metaphor that I don't know. If it isn't, maybe it ought to be. TNP likes to eat dinner left overs for breakfast.
  • False and ewww. Never even heard of that combo before. TNP is in a long term relationship but his/her partner won't commit to taking it to the next level.
