i do strength training and cardio. i did a bulk a while back when i was at about goal weight and i gained way too much fat and am now finding it hard to lose :sad:

so can you still have cheat meals and get abs? i would like to be able to go out with family and friends occasionally and not feel guilty about indulging. i have been skipping out of social events because i dont want to ruin my diet and that is starting to seem silly and rather unhealthy mentally.

i understand that in order to see your muscle definition you need a lower body fat %, but does eating clean and sticking to certain macros aid in this process? or is it just about working out enough and sticking to a deficit. if you look at my diary you can see how strict i had been for 5 weeks with macros and cals. but…

i always that it was more calories in vs calories out. but more and more i read, talk, and hear people saying it is a combination of eating at a deficit while being super strict with your macros

bump--- i would also suggest what others have. do more compound movements to target more muscles at one time. also dont do so much lifting in one day. thats what i used to do and was getting nowhere.... i now lift for 30min 5x a week different muscle groups each day. i do 20min cardio after lifting. either HIIT or steady…

maybe its all in my head and im just being crazy :noway: but sometimes i feel like i work so hard to stick to my cals/macros and kicking *kitten* in the gym i dont want to ruin the weeks work on a stupid cheeseburger. maybe i just need to learn to let go every once in a while

i ate whatever i wanted while on vacation at the beginning of april and i eat between 1800-2100 cals a day so i dont think i am eating too little....

i LOVE pb!! I only eat natural pb though with no additives. i eat between 1-4tbsp a day as long as it fits my cals/macros...it keeps my cravings for sweets at bay and i feel like im indulging.

I LOVE veggies!!! :love: currently i have been eating alot of sweet potatoes, avacado and zuchinni... i put zuchinni in everything! i also love sugar snap peas.

i am with you!! it drives others and sometimes myself crazy! but i take it a step farther and moniter my macros very closely... if it doesnt fit my macros then i dont eat it... i am always thinking about calories. and i am scared to go over because if the scale doesnt go down then i will know it was because i chose to eat…
