  • It's your birthday, so have fun. You can choose lower calorie mixed drinks if it would make you feel better. Also, since you haven't had a drink in 3 years, it won't take as much to feel the effects. Lots of water before you party, and have one between each cup of "mommy juice". Happy early birthday!
  • Feel free to add me. I would be happy to accept and give support, encouragement and a little push when needed!
  • I have taken Phentermine and it worked in the past as a kick start, and I am back on it. It helped, but I do not recommend it unless you are desperate to lose weight. I have to drop weight...not for any health reasons, but for the military. Because it helped before, I am willing to do it again, the key is to follow a good,…

We're not lost (says mom, driving a country road), we're on an adventure! Always remember what it's like to be the new kid - and help…

She and I are always complaining about our DH's and how they lose weight and we seem to hold on to ours or involunarily take on theirs. Since you are doing WW along with MFP, you have two support groups. The counselors at WW are very familiar…
  • WOOOOOSAAAAHHHHHH! In with the good air...out with the bad! yes, breathe and give yourself a break. Personally, my favorite way was kickboxing, and a really good punching bag - just be careful and use gloves to protect your knuckles - bag burn hurts! Stop buying food that your daughter can eat and you can't. You are…
  • The tea recommendation works well - Smooth Move. You can find it in the Health Food section at most grocery stores. I have used it, but a cup of Starbucks coffee works wonders for me... don't know why, but it does. Also, a good run helps as well.

  • You don't need a gym! Get up and get moving... go for a walk or run; some public parks have tennis courts - find a friend and play tennis...or do what I do...take turns hitting the tennis ball and chasing the one that you couldn't send back across the net. I think I get more exercise chasing the ball. Go to the library and…
