Absolutely. My 7 year old son does Spring and Fall football, hip-hop, cub scouts and swimming and my 3 year old daughter does ballet, tap and swimming. Busy people, all of us!

Good for you! I did the same thing tonight. I got a salad while my kids had burgers and fries. It's all about moment to moment choices. Go you!

Happens to me too...once every 28 days or so. We are women and completely subject to hormonal fluctuations in weight. In one 24 hour period last month I gained 6 pounds. Ridiculous, right?! Especially since I worked out 6 days that week and had been especially dilligent with my eating. The good news is that it is all water…

Well, ME, Kim! I'm up in the Frederick/Montgomery County area. Lots of great hiking right in my backyard!

That's me too, hun. I used to care what people thought about how awkward I must look, but frankly I am doing this for me and I really just don't even care what anyone else thinks now. I am getting healthy and strong. I do intervals of walking and running and I find that it really gets my heart rate elevated and keeps it up…

I love my magnificent breasts. Ha. I do.

Here's my evolving collection of healthy recipes: http://pinterest.com/manymuses/a-votre-sante/ Hope that helps!

All of the above. Seriously.

Blueberries are a superfood. Carbs be damned- they are perfect fuel for your body. I eat them almost every day and have lost 20 pounds in the past 2 months. Imagine a superfood -- not a drug -- powerful enough to help you lower your cholesterol, reduce your risk of heart disease and cancer, and, for an added bonus, put you…

I used to have that problem. Not anymore. I gradually built up my "tolerance" for exercise and sweat and movement by doing things I enjoy, like dancing and walking, varying my efforts with days of Wii Fit and weight routines. I have gradually (in only 2months) worked my way up to interval running and weight training 6 days…

I never enjoyed it as much as I do now that I've discovered grilling it! Not fishy at all. Delicious and SO healthy with a quick drizzle of olive oil and a sprinkle of Szeged fish rub. Perfection, served hot or cold with a salad. Give it a try.

People like that are small, insecure individuals who truly do not like themselves on the inside, so they put others down to make themselves seem better. It never works though. They are the ones who hate what is inside them so they continue to punish their own bodies by bad habits, whereas you are working every day to be…

In addition to the great suggestions above, Journal it out too! Writing down your thoughts and feelings is an act of literally getting them outside of your body where they cannot fester and grow out of control. Just a simple notebook and pen are all you need to begin, or even adding a note or two in your MFP diary every…

So proud of you too. What a commitment to hard work and perseverance. Thanks for inspiring me today!

I am pleased to say I never dis myself that way. Can't and won't are not part of who I am. I like myself, no matter what number it says on the scale.

A "pin-up sensation" would be fun, but I just want to be healthy and watch my children grow up. That's my goal.

That is one clever husband and one very effective NSV. Celebrate!

As each squash differs so much in size, it would be difficult to assign a standard serving size, but I would say 4 sounds reasonable.

I am SOOOO happy for you. Can't wait to get there myself!! What a MAJOR achievement- you did it! Celebrate this moment for all its worth and all the hard work that got you here.

It depends on your area. In the DC area, I have been paying upwards of $15-20/hour for my babysitter. Hope you find a great family!

I know just how you feel and am right there with you. I've not even lost 20 pounds yet andI think people are amazed that I needed to lose THAT much. Little do they know, I have still have SO far yet to go. (like 4 times that much. Sigh) I don't mind sharing that here with my fellow MFPers who are all on the same journey,…

Nah...karma takes care of all of that.

Yay you. That is a big moment I think! I am starting to make the same kind of decisions based on the cost: benefit ratio. Working my *kitten* off every day just for that fleeting momentary pleasure is just not a big enough payoff now. Be proud of yourself today!

Just so we can better understand- Surgeons actually don't cut the abdominal muscles, rather they separate them, to allow access to the womb, and the muscles grow back together as the outer layers of tissue heal. I've had 2 c-sections myself, and much as I would like to blame my OB for my "pooch" I think I have to take more…

Sounds tasty. Thanks!
