I think everyone goes through ups and downs in this journey, at least I certainly have. The important part is that you have not quit trying. Don't ever give up reaching your goals. My biggest piece of advice and one that I have just started back doing is to take this one meal/choice/day at a time. You really only have…

Amazing, freeing and terrifying all at the same time. When you start the weight loss journey you often think that once you get to your goal weight, life will be perfect. Unfortunately, that is often wrong. Losing this much weight may have made me healthier but it has also brought up a lot of emotional issues that I had…

Right there with ya girly. Just started my new bulking plan today. After being focused on losing weight my entire life, this decision was the most terrifying thing I've ever done. But, like my sister said, if I don't like the results...just switch back. Easy as that :)

Haha thanks! Glad I can inspire :) Yet another reason I love being strong, lifting more than most guys ;)
-
Thanks, this is exactly what I needed to see!
-
I never thought of that, maybe I should look into it
-
Thanks! I REALLY need to take new ones. Gonna have my hubby do a "before" pic to help with comparison.
-
Thanks! That was kinda the turning point for me. I feel like I'm wasting my gift of strength to just see that smaller number on the scale.

Oh I should add that I've been lifting for almost three years with the help of my trainer :)

My moment took me about a month before it became solid. My sister (who has always been my overweight partner in life) lost 90lbs the previous year. I was scared to be left behind in life, I wanted to be able to keep up with her be that social or activity related. My hubby and I had always talked about finally getting the…

Yep, Washingtonian here! Ya, I say bring it on now that I know there's no burpees!!! I'm always willing to try everything...what's the point of paying for a race just to skip an obstacle haha...

I just ran my 1st Spartan race on 8/3 and I'm doing my first Mudder on 10/5. Reading everyone's replies gets me super excited to get muddy again! Not looking forward to the shock and Arctic Enema but the rest I think I can handle. One thing I was curious about though...is the Mudder like the Spartan races where you have to…

Thanks! To answer you question, lots and lots of hard work! I've lost weight a million times over my lifetime and always did it the same way...counting calories and doing lots of cardio. I said what most people usually say, once I get to my goal weight I'll start weight lifting. Well because I have always gained back…

Good luck to your mom, hope she heals fast! There is nothing more frustrating to someone like us than an injury. ..grrr

You are all doing fantastic! Here was my wake up picture 323lbs 48+% body fat...summer 2010 I have lost about 140lbs by slowly removing processed foods, staying within my calories, keeping my carbs on the low end and the carbs I do have come from brown rice or fruit, working my butt off in the gym every day doing either…

Thanks everyone for the overwhelming responses...you all make me want to push myself even harder so I can inspire even more people! I love to help in anyway that I can so others can reap the benefits of success like me. I still wake up every morning so thankful that I finally decided to put in the hard work and stick with…

Haha yup! Trust me, you're not the only one that thinks I'm crazy.

Here's my almost 10 year old little lady. We got her when she was a tiny 5 weeks old and all ears. Her name is Tackle but we call her Goobs. This is Jack aka Jack-o-potomus because he weighs almost 20lbs. He has got to be the weirdest cat I have ever met in my life!! You can do anything you want to him and he never fights…

YOU ARE AMAZING! I bow to your awesomeness! And I'm Peanut Butter straight from the freezer all the way!

I'm in Everett and love running outdoors and hiking on the weekends, I only do cardio inside if I'm forced too. Feel free to add me as a friends :)

Mine is open as well. I love getting new ideas from friends :)

This exactly! I've yo-yo dieted since I was put on my first diet at 9 years old. I've always regained the weight plus more. This time I wanted things to be different and I knew the only way that was going to happen was to fix the reasons why I was overweight. Fortunately my insurance covers therapy and I have been seeing a…

I would not be where I am today without the amazing trainers that I have had over the past 2 and a half years! I definitely agree though, you need to find the one that works right for you. I got very lucky and both of mine were/are fantastic! A good trainer is worth every single penny.

I was born 9lbs 2 oz...and just got bigger so I know exactly what you mean! When I graduated high school I weighed 257lbs and then proceeded to gain almost 100lbs after I got married. I was always afraid of the same fears as you and because of this, I started seeing a therapist this time around. I owe so much of my success…

Your meal plan looks yummy! Looks exactly like what my trainer eats LOL. Can't wait to get these last 20lbs off so I can start eating more carbs like this.
-
It took me almost 2 years to get back to normal after only taking 2 shots!! I really wish I would have read up on it more before taking it. Just give it time like others have said and your body will balance itself out again. I know how frustrating that is to hear though.
-
I would say definitely try and add more protein! The rest looks great though :)

I bake a week's worth of chicken on Sunday's and separate out some for each day. Actually I do this for all of my meals...my fridge is very full of Tupperware now haha. It REALLY helps though cause I don't have to think at all about food during the week. I just grab the containers and go. I eat 6oz of chicken and a whole…

LOVE that more and more women are starting to realize the benefits to lifting heavy and move past the myth!! I absolutely love being strong!! Here are my pics (lifting pic was taken about 3 months ago so I've gotten a little bit more definition since then but you get the idea). Still not at goal but getting there …

That's a great idea! I think I'm gonna go home and do this...it'll be just the visual motivation I need right now!
