  • Mine always hurt the following day so I'm really interested to hear any ideas!
  • Ooh! I'm going to try that at my training session today! What a great reminder!
  • I just use strength training or circuit training under cardio and enter my minutes and burn per my HRM. Much easier then putting everything in.
  • Hmmm....I have often wondered the same thing.
  • My friend and I have always talked about writing our own book on this very subject!!! We wanted to capture a hike from an overweight point of view....but who am I kidding, I don't write books  I LOVE LOVE LOVE hiking!!!! It kicks my butt every single time but there is something about the feeling of accomplishment…
  • Mine are definitely on their way out as well but to me that's a happy occasion. Having big ones most of my life I am very happy to have less back pain, smaller bras and fit normally into tops. I will, of course, have to surgically put whatever's left back where it belongs but I'm ok with that
  • EXACTLY!!! Couldn't have said it better myself!
  • I had to give mine to my trainer...its like Ice cream, if its in the house I can't control myself  I really applaud you for making such a huge step towards your success! By focusing on eating healthy and pushing yourself with your workouts the weight will come off...it just takes patience. I just got over a month…
  • I took a look at your diary and it looks like you only have 2 maybe 3 meals a day. I would try having 5 or 6 small meals at 200+ calories each, evenly spaced throughout your day. I eat ALL DAY LONG so I'm never hungry! The majority of my calories comes from fruits and lean meats which really help keep me going. You're…
  • I don't purposefully eat back my exercise calories and I've been doing pretty well. I eat small meals all day long and am always energized for my workouts. I think it completely depends on your body, everyone is different. If eating your exercise calories back helps you to loose more weight and put in better workouts, then…
  • I know exactly what you mean! I think most of it is in my head though. I was pretty much told not to eat things all my life by my mom so now, no matter if its healthy or not, I feel guilty for eating. One of the many emotional problems I am trying to work though. Plus, I guarantee you that 'skinny girl' can't keep that…
  • My profile statement pretty much sums it up :) "I have been overweight, well pretty much since I was born ( I was a big baby!). Like every other heavy person, I have tried all of the fad "diets" and would loose weight, only to gain it back plus more. About 2 years ago, my sister who has always been over weight like me lost…
  • LOVE IT!!! I pretty much eat the same way. Farmers markets, Costco and clearance meat section at Grocery stores....those are my main staples.
  • I eat chicken for both lunch and dinner almost every day and I've done great so far, so I'm pretty sure it's ok :)
  • I've got the Polar FT4 with the detachable strap. So, I'm pretty sure that's the only part you're supposed to put in the washer. I wash mine about once a week since I get pretty sweaty during workouts. The electrode part I just wipe down with a damp cloth when I'm done working out.
  • That was facinating!!! Thanks for sharing! It really gave me a good goal to shoot for now. I've always had a % goal in mind but now that I know what it looks like I feel even more confident.
  • I know exactly how you feel when it comes to budget issues!!! Here's some tips that I have learned and the basic food plan I try to stick to. 1. Shop at farmer's markets for fruits and veggies (I had to visit a few before I found one that was super cheap with good quality) 2. Buy your meat in the clearance section at…
  • YUM!!! I am sooooo trying this recipe!! Thanks!!
  • The book is a MILLION times better, and that's saying a lot cause the movie is one of my all time favorites. You just get to learn a lot more about the characters and you get to read all the little in between details they can never convey correctly in movies. I just learned the other day that Fight Club was a book first…
  • I know exactly what you mean about Memnoch the Devil! I feel the same way and I always finish the book thinking WOW, what a different point of view! The Princess Bride is one of my ultimate favorites, along with the movie...which of course isn't as good as the book. I love the author's sense of humor. The Outlander series…
  • I keep mine going the whole time I'm working out. Like when I'm working with my trainer, in between sets, I just let it run. The important thing is to be consistent so if you keep it going during your recovery, do that every time.
  • It would be nice it that was true! I have noticed that my sweat level has gone up with my fitness level....hmmm...something to ponder....
  • I am the same way!!! I've always been a sweater but since I started this lifestyle change its like my body turned on the faucet!!! I call it my own personal rain forest  I've noticed when I drink more water than normal, it makes me sweat even more...if that's possible.
  • We the Living by Ayn Rand.....I couldn't stop crying at the end. I LOVE anything by her!!! Also We by Yevgeny Zamyatin was VERy interesting!!!!
  • I have bigger body type meaning I gain muscle pretty easy so my goal is 175lbs. My ultimate goal is based on body fat % though which is 23% and from my calculations of where I am at now, that puts me right around 175lbs with 23% body fat. I would love to say I'm in the 130's but considering, with no body fat I would weight…
  • BUMP!!!!!!!
  • If you make your diary public, we can give you more specific advise.
  • I've battled with this problem during our 13 year relationship. My hubby gets very defensive about his weight so I have found the best way to guide him is by example. Just be as kind and supportive as you can and when what he is doing stops working while you're still loosing weight he will probably make the realization by…
