  • Overwhelmed, and this idea is the only thing that seems to make sense at this point. I realized I have been netting below my BMR for some time now. A year ago I was 110 lbs, down somewhat mysteriously from 120-125 after quitting birth control. I was eating burgers at lunch and frozen pizzas at night and still maintaining…
  • vodka works
  • I hurt my ankle working out a couple months ago. It would throb and ache even when weight wasn't put on it. I went to doctor and they put me in a boot, and after like only 3 days it felt completely better. Especially if there's swelling, I'd take a few days rest, then test it out again.
  • I just started taking glucosamine/MSM. Have only been taking it for a few days... I'll let you know if it starts to help.
  • @dobenjam I too am concerned about proper form. PT friend says I have excellent form but I trust no one! Thanks for the advice and good luck with Squash! Sounds delicious ;) Perhaps I'll try out dance again..
  • Honestly.. up until now, it -was- difficult to do 10 reps with the 5 lb. weight. I was seriously weak. Now I can do a lot more, so you'er right, I should up the weight! I think the real solution then is I need to two small children to lift..
  • Holy crap! That's a unique way to look at it for sure. You're right though. I have come a long way in my social anxiety in other aspects of my life.. doesn't mean this hurdle isn't just as possible to overcome.
  • This happens to me with my ankles pretty much every single time I bend them. Squats, walking down stairs, lunges.. it usually doesn't hurt but every so often there will be one 'big' pop that hurts. I've asked doctors and podiatrists and they all seem to think if it doesn't hurt, it doesn't matter. It's a little…
  • Come to think of it, there are some things I could tweak in the existing exercises to make them harder. I still can barely regular (not on knees) pushups, for instance. Upping weights is probably a good idea. Wonder if I should go to 6 or jump up to something like 8. I'll ask her to help me out. Do you think, given that…
  • Well, I've been doing 'new' workouts each week.. but it's sort of a different mix and match of things I've already done, sometimes with a couple new things thrown into the mix. I guess I'll ask her to see if she can step it up a little (not her fault!).. oh the joys of straddling professional/personal relationships. Thanks!
  • I have a bodymedia link—it seems pretty accurate (not overestimating, at least) and despite being kinda bulky.. it's pretty awesome.
  • Hmmm. Not sure which one you have. I sync mine various times during the day. MFP has my TDEE somewhere around like 1650 cals (because I put my activity level at sedentary), but my bodymedia knows my TDEE is usually 1800-2000 because of exercise. So it seems that when I sync it at the beginning of hte day, even on a rest…
  • Since starting exercise, my hair seems to fall out far far far less than it used to (I have alopecia areata).
  • I like the way it tastes but somehow the 'idea' of mayo really turns me off. I much prefer mustard.
  • Haha. How'd you know...
  • I work at a male sex toy company. I am not a male. 'Nuff said.
  • I met my .. ex.. husband on OKCupid. All the people there whom I met offline seemed normal, interesting people. Strange, I know! I have now since learned OKCupid is a great site for casual hookups with slutty girls. Oooops? Can't really knock online dating. But I met my now boyfriend at work and have to say the foundation…
  • People texting or talking on the phone while driving (OK, this isn't really a 'little' thing) Not using your turn blinker Your/You're/There/Their/They're etc. All that. Stuff.
  • Oops, forgot it was private! Add away :)
  • I just started exercising like a month ago. My friend has been crafting 2 workouts for me each week. I post the workouts up on my blog so that I can reference them if necessary after I log.. I started posting at workout 7 but if they're of any help I'll go back and post 1-6. I've found them challenging and pretty…
  • Yup! I've made a few batches so far in my food processor. It's very easy. I started at first with medjool dates but they were too expensive in the long run so I ended up using prunes as a binder. The first time around I did one kind of nut (ie, only cashews, dates, plus something else) but this time I did a nut mixture…
  • I bought a few and then, in reaction to their price.. decided to make my own. They're delicious! I have had a lot of success with the recipes on this site: http://rawified.blogspot.com/2012/05/raw-larabars.html But there are lots of recipes out there. I recommend it.. saves mon-ay and you can customize to your liking.
  • I'm 118 currently, my ultimate goal is to reduce body fat and increase muscle.. whether that means weighing more or less. I have a pretty small frame such that if I'm at 130 (135 was my highest weight) I look very pudgy. I found I looked best at my lowest weight, 110... but that was with no weight training.
  • 5'6.5... but I go by 5'7" :)
