  • Very happy for you that you've had such an easy time. Seriously. I gained exactly 25 lbs with my last pregnancy ( baby is 14 months old now), breastfed for 12 months and I STILL haven't lost it all. I run 15 miles a week, lift weights twice a week and religiously log my food. Still have 3 lbs to go. I'm currently 5'3 and…
  • I stopped nursing at one year got my first period at 14 months pp and then got the second period a week later that lasted for 2 weeks. Definitely annoyingly irregular. I also switched BCP from the low hormone to regular, so that may have factored into it. The pp depression that you mention really hits home with me- I have…
  • We have a second-hand tike tech and I'm very happy with it. We found it on craigslist for $40. I was never able to find one in the consignment stores so we actually wound up buying the craigslist app so we would be alerted as soon as someone listed one. They sell fast!
  • Thanks guys! We actually have that owl cup, I guess he just needs more practice. I've just got this desperation that's built up and I'm feeling like it's never going to happen. Maybe some sleep would help too. ;)
  • At 5'3" and 119 you should have no problem. At 5'5" and 123 I could fit into lots of clothing. Where are you shopping? I wear a 4 at Ann Taylor loft and most other brands. [/quote] I feel like that should be true, but it isn't! I'm not some crazy skinny/small person, but I must have weird proportions or something. Ann…
  • Thanks everyone! I didn't realize there was a 00 in those stores! I haven't really shopped online bc I like to try things on- our stores mostly stop at 2. :/ I have hope again- looking for a nice dress that is not too mature but not juniors either.
  • With my first two pregnancies I gained 40 lbs each time and it took me a year to lose it each time. This time I gained 25 lbs and it will STILL take probably a year to lose it. I've got 5 lbs to go at 9 months in. I think that we can definitely help the process by eating right and exercising, but in my experience,…
  • What time does your LO go to bed? After I put LO down my DH plays a game or reads with the older two while I doña exercise videos mute in the same room. It is not ideal, but I get to be near them and exercise at the same time. I used to be a 5am workout person, but until LO is consistently sleeping I just can't do it. I…
  • Thanks! He slept 9 hours (6 for me) before nursing last night, which is still great by my standards. Sorry about the rough night. LO is my third, so I know that it gets better. It is nice to have that Ray of hope every once in a while though. :)
  • We started purées at 6 months and now, at 9 months, he won't eat anything off a spoon! He only wants food he can pick up himself.
  • 8 months pp here. I have the same 7 lbs left to go before I'm at my prepregnancy weight. However, I have not been trying at all in the last 4 months. I have logged a handful of days and worked out even fewer. My LO still wakes up 2-3 times at night to nurse so I'm going pretty easy on myself. When he sleeps better, then it…
  • Thanks ladies. Still getting into the swing of this 3 kids at home stuff. :). If I can convince my 5 month old to stop waking up 3 times a night I think I'll feel less stressed.
  • I am also restarting (again!) tomorrow. You can do it! And you will feel that much better about succeeding on such a gluttonous day! Good luck!
  • My dr recommended cutting out butter, red meat, poultry with skin, baked goods, full fat dairy, etc. the only thing on that list that I actually eat is cheese. I will try eliminating some cheese and see if that makes a difference. My grandpa had high numbers (LDL and HDL) and never took anything. He lived well into his…
  • Still 7 lbs to go. LO is 4 months old and I am ebfing. Started logging again yesterday. My goal is to lose 2 lbs this month. Prepreg. 115 Day of delivery 140 Today 122
  • I average 1800 a day and I haven't lost anything in over a month. I am currently 5'3" and 122. My pp weight was 115. I tried dropping to 1500 and I was hungry all the time. With my first 2 I held on to the last 10 lbs until I stopped bf. I think I'm going to be stuck with these last 7 lbs for another 9 months. :/
  • When I weened my older two I replaced one feeding a day for one week at a time with a sippy cup of milk. Week one: 7am feeding replaced by sippy cup of milk, nurse at other feedings Week 2: 7 am and 11am replaced, nurse at other feedings Week 3: 7, 11 and 3 replaced, nurse others Etc. I was never uncomfortable and the kids…
  • No weight change, but I lost another inch around my waist!
  • Do you have any dumbells at home? I completed stage one at home using dumbells with very minor modifications and I am doing the same with stage 2. I don't know how many stages I'll be able to complete this way, but it definitely fits into my schedule so much easier than trying to get into a gym. I use my ottoman for step…
  • 10 weeks pp and haven't lost any weight in at least 6 weeks. Only 7 lbs to go, but I'm annoyed that the scale isn't moving. But I completed stage 1 of nrolfw and doubled my strength in shoulder press and lunges!
  • Blast. I don't think it is an allergy- I started using lotion AFTER I noticed the peeling. Hmm, I guess I will call. Thanks!
  • Hi ladies, I took a short break from mfp to clear my head of scale obsession. I think I can handle it again now. :) Prepregnancy: 115 lbs (5'3") Day of delivery: 140 lbs I am 7 1/2 weeks pp and have been stuck at 122 for almost 4 weeks now. I am a bit frustrated. My prepregnancy clothes fit, but not quite the same way. I…
  • You can find it under food- it adds 500 cals to your daily total
  • Have you looked into Overeaters Anonymous? They have local meetings all over the country. If nothing else, read the book. http://www.amazon.com/Twelve-Steps-Traditions-Overeaters/dp/0960989862
  • Hi ladies. Leaving mfp for a while for personal reasons. Good luck to you!

  • CW: 122 lbs Waist: 29 in. Hips: 37 in. Thigh: 20.5 in. I wore this swim suit on my honeymoon 6 years ago (though it is actually from high school). I weighed more but was in better shape. Hoping to get back in shape soon but the bikini is retired from public use because of stretch marks from 3 pregnancies. :).
  • I was going to start August 1st, but then I decided to start today instead. I'm doing the 30 DS DVD mixed with some other, "heavy" lifting. I will lift 3 days and use the DVD either 3 or 4 days, depending on how I feel. I took my "before" pics this morning and it was a bit sobering. I don't have far to get to my goal, but…
  • Bump- anyone?

  • My oldest was like that. She never crawled and learned to walk just fine. Don't sweat it, but keep trying. :)
