  • I love a good green tea or some Earl Grey as well. More of a coffee drinker admittedly, but I also like my tea with a touch of milk too. Full fat of course.
  • I'm always happy to have people add me as a friend, so for those looking, feel free to add me, or just check out my diary. Some days I don't log everything, some days I don't log at all and others I log every detail. March will be keto month for me once I can figure out my menu.
  • I just completed my January Whole30 but I'm open to friends who would like some support for their February journey. You can add me if you wish and I'll be happy to keep you guys and gals going. :) Way to go to commit to a February Whole30!! :)
  • I do my IFing during the week and usually it's 16/8. On the weekends I find it a bit harder because I'm not at work and preoccupied. But I find it works great for me and have not had any issues with it. I will start back my keto eating in March full time and continue to IF through this period as well. I guess the response…
  • It's pretty much been said already, but we would need to be able to see what you're eating to best guide you in the right direction. But as previously mentioned, the fats and proteins are what keeps you full most of the time so if you're getting enough of both you should be ok. If you're looking for friends, feel free to…
  • The last two posts from Dragonwolf and monkeydharma outline everything very well. Thank you both for putting forward these points as I was unable to. Being at work while I am checking in from time to time does not allow me the luxury of thinking out my answers as eloquently as I would like sometimes. And I do not believe…
  • Really we could go on and on but that's not why we are here. I understand your point of view and all, but at least the car companies are truly trying to protect their consumers with safety features, but like I said....we could be here forever arguing this point. I'm just glad that more and more people are becoming aware of…
  • I guess it comes down now to giving people the opportunity to harm themselves and making these foods readily available etc. But we could go down this track forever! Availability, advertising etc, etc, etc!
  • Touche' on the money issue. Fair enough. And I do suppose that no one has an obligation to make things safe, but people's conscience should really lead them to do better by one another. It's also fair to say that people who make things have an obligation not to hurt others with said things, which in this case is food.
  • Ok, we are not really here to ridicule. I took the cat in the hat (LOL - no pun intended) as the joke it was meant to be. While I understand Akima's position as well, I do think maybe a little research may help those who do not understand the side I was coming from to maybe understand a bit more why we are lead to believe…
  • Normally I feel terrible about throwing away food as well. I hate to see it go to waste. But I do see Shuki's side of this. Are you really throwing away food? Cause crap like that is just nicely arranged chemicals, and even if the starving people of the world were to get their hands on it, would it even do their bodies any…
  • Thank you all for your great feedback. I am saddened that my husband does not agree with me, but hopefully I can just get him to eat better (as well as my daughter) and we can just agree to disagree about the sabotage topic, and lets all just eat better foods for us. I have now banned things like chicken nuggets, pre-made…
  • I would "take one home" and throw it away later. OR as suggested by fruttibiscott, lunch room is always an option.
  • Feeling good but wanting it to end! lol
  • I'm O+ as well and agree 100% that paleo/primal is the only way of eating that makes any sense to me and my body. It's the longest I've stuck with anything and I'm so grateful that I found this way of life. Anything else "diet" or otherwise, can take a hike! lol
  • Easiest thing ever!!! http://wellnessmama.com/2447/homemade-coconut-milk/ I'll be making my own from now on! Can't wait to give it a try :)
  • Currently 60/20/20 at 1500 calories.
  • Quite possibly it seems. I'll have to see what they say and report back!
  • That is great advice. Something I need to remember. I think I might actually go and change my calorie ceiling now. I'm currently on 1500 calories but I'm 155 or thereabouts. According to his math I should be taking in about 1800 calories per day. These days I'm of the opinion that we need to feed our bodies to perform…
  • Totally normal. Craving the carbs takes a few days to get out of the sysyem. Give it a little time and you'll be rocking paleo again no problem! :)
  • Feel free to add me as well. 26 years old, mother of 1, 5' 9.5" and around 157lbs or so. :)
  • I was keto at one point and found that my body worked well on it, but I needed to revert to paleo/primal for my own peace of mind. I found I was stressing WAY too much about my food and always worrying about carbs. I was also obsessively logging just to make sure I was under my allowance, and if I was offered something I…
  • I'm so stoked!! Looking forward to feeling better and resetting :) This is my second go round at Whole30 and I remember how great I felt during the first one so I'm well excited for this one too!
  • I'm going to give it another go in January too! I was very pleased with the way my body responded to the last one I did and I felt better than ever, so I think after the Christmas goodies (which aren't even that much) I will still need to do it for my sanity.
  • I just had my last assessment for the year as well, and my body fat went from 21% in September to 18.9% just two days ago. I credit my lifting routine to this as it will burn off the stubborn fat and build a bit of muscle. For pound comparison, in the 3 months since my last assessment I've only lost 1 pound but as you can…
  • I think my body is pretty happy with what it gets. I find these days I'm a lot more hungry at night which might be due to my evening work outs, but I'm happy to supply it with the food which it may or may not have received earlier in the day. But surely no under eating going on here. I love my food!!
  • When I first went paleo I still counted my calories and logged every day. It was my way of accounting what I ate. I was also greatly concerned with carbs so I used to watch those like a hawk! Since then (July) I have only now decided that I'm comfortable enough to not log and relax on the carbs due to what I know now. I'm…
  • Well all the responses seem to be on track with my thinking. Just listen to your body! Actually my appetite does come and go. Last night I had a great meal of grilled lamb and oven baked sweet potato. It was delicious and filling. This morning was cold and rainy so I just had a coffee and a yoghurt. I've got a little…
  • I don't think that I'm really under eating, but I'm not eating as much as I used to, and I used to find that I was eating as much as I was, simply to fulfill the numbers on MFP but most of the times I was over full. I know everyone's body is different, and everyone runs on different amounts of calories etc. but I must…
  • Thanks Akima. That's what I was thinking because I figure if my body really is hungry then it will call for food. Otherwise, it won't. I still like to check in with my friends on these things though, just in case my thinking is off! lol
