  • People who tell me how I feel. "You must be tired" "You're acting like you're hungry" Screw off, if I wanted to let you know how I felt l I'd clue you in. When someone offers me something, I decline, and they respond, "are you sure?" Did you not freaking hear me, I said no thank you. I don't need to explain myself to you,…

  • This is amazing, everyone. I thought about asking before but didn't do it. I'm glad I asked! Anyone else want to share? :flowerforyou:
  • Actually, Red Robin does post their nutritional information and allows you to customize your meal: http://www.redrobin.com/home/customizer.aspx
  • Thanks for recommending Howard County and A.A co. schools. I applied there a few weeks ago and planning on calling tomorrow to follow up on my application. I haven't heard anything about A.A's budget problems but thanks for letting me know. You're right, I need figure out where I'm going to move and too bad I can't figure…

  • Yay! My man will most likely be working at Ft. Meade or in the DC area but I'm not quite sure where I'll be working yet because I need to interview with a few school districts. I'm looking for something with a lot of group exercise classes as that's my favorite way to work out. I know Equinox has amazing classes but…
  • I'm moving from Las Vegas to Howard /Anne Arundel County, MD on June 1st and I'm curious about the gyms out there. I've looked at some online but I was hoping that others have first hand experience with the gyms in that area. Any suggestions?
  • Yeah, I don't find this to be good advice. Fasting is not part of a healthy diet. You're welcome to provide scientific research if you can find it though.
  • In high school I was about 170 pounds and about 5'3 to boot. When I sat down I had a lot of rolls on my side and the boys called me Michelin, because of my spare tire. Years later, one of the boys showed up at my job when I worked at the university as a computer lab technician. He was asking for password help and I told…
  • Wow! I'm very impressed! Teachers, technical writers, nurses, engineers, we truly represent a hodgepodge of career paths!
  • This is out of curiosity but I'm really curious! MFP members represent a spectrum of interesting careers and education paths. Some are full time mothers whereas others are computer engineers. What do you do now and were did you go to college (if you went)? I went to UNLV and graduated with a B.A. in English and a minor in…

  • Yellow Pepper made an excellent suggestion. I could not have said it better myself. :flowerforyou:
  • That's a good point. Patience no matter what happens; whether it's weight gain, weight loss, plateau, or stress you need to keep on with your exercise no matter what. If you stop what you set out to do, you'll stop seeing progress. Keep on and you'll see results :)

  • Sounds like a fun day! Keep in mind though- because you have excess calories you need to keep sugar and fat, among other nutrients, in mind. So truffle, brittle, yogurt, brownie plus whatever else you had that day may have been a lot saturated / trans fat wise. It's just a thought
  • I must be the worst woman ever! There are months when I actually forget that I'm on my period. I don't have PMS or those cravings women get during/before their period. A good friend of mine has big problems stemming from her period and she gets upset when I don't understand or don't have midol on my person if she forgets…
  • Timbaland's Shock Value, Panic at the Disco's first CD, and Madonna's Hard Candy is a good place to start.
  • I would recommend to visit this link for a calorie calculator. Hopefully it'll give you some insight: http://recipes.sparkpeople.com/recipe-calculator.asp
  • First off, I never...ever have a cheat day because the only cheat meal worth it for me is sushi. I knew I was going to have a $20.00 dinner of all you can eat sushi tonight and didn't want to break the calorie bank so this is what I did: I had a 600 calorie breakfast, went to a 10:30am cardio kickboxing class and used the…
  • My poor boyfriend has been assaulted at night by my diet. I eat a lot of carrots and we believe the carrots plus all the other fiber has caused my farts of mass destruction. Sorry, I keep it real. :blushing:

  • I had 678 calories for breakfast, 2 servings of cereal, 1 cup of milk, 1 serving of orange juice with calcium and a hungry girl cookie that has 88 calories. I don't feel too bad because I'm doing cardio kickboxing and step aerobics today to make room for sushi so I need the nutrients. Have fun at your workout, I will!
  • Ouch :embarassed:
  • Yeah, I would amp up my calories pre-workout to cover the workout calories. I would add almonds to my cereal, eat peanut butter for a snack, etc. Only problem with this- if you don't workout at night you're up a creek without a paddle.
  • The will to lose weight comes from within. You need to reassess your goals/aspirations and come to terms with why you want to lose weight and the things you'll do to achieve your goals. If you really wanted to lose weight as badly as you say you do, then do something about it! For the longest time, I would mope near my…
  • I have seen better results by using my Polar F6. By effectively calculating my calories burned during cardio, I've been exercising harder and eating better (calorie wise). This way, I know I burned 600 calories for an hour of cardio/weights which is better than using MFP to guess which may or may not cause me to overeat…
