We had a "heat wave" last week... I just call it Summer. But... it was a heat index of 104* and that is not good for me or my pups to be out in! I did A LOT better with water. Goals this week: Cut down on sweets No eating out Work out 3 x this week (swimming or tracy anderson DVD) So far I have gone swimming today! And…

It isnt JUST charting. You have to pay attention to your cervical mucus and the like. It probably isnt as reliable if you have irregular ovulation. Like I said I wouldn't use ONLY temping/charting if we absolutely did not want another kid... but if we ended up pregnant, it wouldnt be upsetting. Taking Control of Your…

I'll be charting my temp and ovulation. All natural, no hormones... and on the off chance we do get pregnant again, that's okay too. But if you chart correctly... it is more effective than most other forms of BC.

Great goals :o) Mine: -Track food, I don't necessarily need to track each bite... but it makes me a lot more conscience of what I am shoving in my mouth. haha. -Walk more... every day, with my furbabies -water, water, water!

Afternoon ladies!!!! Hope everyone is doing well and staying healthy. I have fallen off the exercise train FOR SURE! But ... going to get back to walking my pups daily once my step daughter leaves for the rest of Summer. I have my anatomy scan today... super nervous but of course excited :o) Hoping to get a confirmation of…

Congrats on the girly! I too found out yesterday! and we are having... a boy! We were shocked because we thought for certain we were having a girl. My husband is a Marine and it is rare for them to have boys! Seriously.. a good 80% of the kids I know through the Marine Corps are girls! Must be karma! haha :o)

@jgrodzicki- Awesome that you did it!!! Im hoping once we get a routine down there wont be many days that "i just dont feel like it" But rather that its in the routine, so lets get to it. I took my pups on a good long walk today... I swear they are the only thing getting me outside most days! It doesn't help that the…

I am 15w2d today :o) So yes... I am around 15 weeks!
-
I think that is our plan too. We will find out at 16 weeks and I will feel better knowing that it will be confirmed at my anatomy scan.

I'm not starting from scratch per say, but after a pretty rough first trimester, I feel like I am starting over now. Prior to getting pregnant I was in the gym at least 5 days a week for roughly 90-120 min. I was losing inches and certainly getting more trim and fit. My cardio was awesome and I was doing a lot of it. I had…

I had morning sickness mildly at about 5 weeks... just some when I got hungry mostly. By 6 weeks it was in full effect and unless I was eating, I was puking. It was terrible. If I had ANY hunger, I was gagging. I had crackers next to my bed that I would eat before even sitting up. I had stocked up on 2 liters of…

How did everyone's first appointment's go?? Mine went well. Saw the heartbeat flickering away at a strong 176!! Have an appointment in a couple weeks for the blood work, pap, all that fun testing stuff! Hope things are going well for all. Who is finding out the sex/who's not?? :o)

I think it is hard to see the whole story here, because we don't know your SIL personally. This may be one of her personality traits that you don't like. That being said.... Just because she said they stopped trying, doesn't mean they did! I had a miscarriage in Sept of 2011, and we started trying as soon as we got the…

Hey ladies!! Just want to keep this board active :o) Anyone have their first OB appt yet?? I have mine late next week at 8 weeks 3 days (according to LMP). Never had one before. What should I expect?? Do they do an early US, or wait.. or is that mostly dependent on the DR? Will they listen for a heartbeat? Any info would…

I had to have the d&c too... if you have any questions please feel free to PM me.

My deepest sympathies. :o( This is what happened to me last pregnancy! I know it is so hard to stay positive, and it is okay to be upset and mourn!!
-
Hope things turn out well for you ladies! I had some similar things happen to me in 2011, ....and it didn't end so well. Prayers for you both! I just got a BFP about two weeks ago!! I am due 11/25! This will be my second pregnancy (first was a miscarriage). The hubs and I have been trying for a year now! :o) I am just over…

Personally... Im not too terribly concerned with the scale. To be honest.... I watched the UFC (which I love) fight with Rousey and Carmouche.... Both females right at my height (one 5'6.5" the other 5'7").. my goal weight WAS 135.... well both females weighed between 132 and 135.... Now, they are both in AMAZING shape...…

My personal opinion (but I am no expert) Look into something called TDEE... it doesn't necessarily involve "eating back" calories.. but you put in your basics (height, weight, gender), then add how much and how aggressively you work out per week, it will give you what you burn in a day... subtract either 20% or 500 cal (1…

Thank you Wellbert for actually taking the time to explain this. Sometimes some people on these forums can make a person feel stupid for not knowing something. I appreciate the time you took to explain and not be rude or condescending about it! :o)

My understanding is that aerobics uses multiple muscles instead of just an isolated muscle like lifting weights. And the calories burned is based of multiple muscle groups burning oxygen, not just one. But I see what you're saying, your heart rate is up, you should still be burning.
-
That makes sense. My work outs are rarely doing a set then waiting around! Thank you for the input! I will certainly keep it in mind. :o)

Even if the workout is circuit training or the such??

I say it all the time, who needs an alarm clock when you have dogs??

When my husband and I first started dating, my pug/beagle mix, would NOT let us sit next to one another or lay together. He would literally get up on the bed, get in between us and shove my husband off the bed. ...He is over it now. But we had a lot of laughs about it back then. We also have a gold retriever that is dumb…
