Caffeine is the only reason it wouldn't work just fine, and honestly, the amount of caffeine in tea is negligible. Decaffeinated or herbal teas would be a fine water substitute, and black/caffeinates teas probably just mean you need another glass or 2. I'm not sure what the math is but I doubt it'd make a huge difference,…

:/ don't be dull, obviously there were connections to be made here. Protein expends more energy to digest than fat or carbs, ie the thermal effect of food Protein does have the same effect on the appetite as carbs Protein's role in preserving muscle will by extension preserve the BMR of someone who'd normally lose it to…

beef jerky, cubes of nice cheese, and jell-o sugar free mousse
-
Well, in the sense that your usual dieter thinks about protein, yes. Protein is the lowest calorie macro nutrient and helps preserve muscle mass you look like you lift heavy so you already know this
-
It is beneficial to your weight loss to go over protein every day.

breakfast: black coffee lunch: rotisserie chicken, bacon, meat sandwich, stir fried beef and veg, etc dinner: pasta, instant noodles, noodle stir fry snacks: brownies and cookies there was a point at my life where was healthy and actually tried lmao

I use a fitbit to see what my non-exercise TDEE is - so I know how many more or less calories I can eat based on how much I moved or didn't move. Anything high intensity or non-countable like cycling, swimming, or sprinting I enter on MFP independently. You should input everything on MFP and it automatically sync over to…

squats and deadlifts

I didn't feel thin even when I was 90lbs but that's an eating disorder problem. I'm sure if you've felt fat your entire life it would take a really powerful force of will and self love to finally accept that you are not fat anymore. It becomes part of your identity and it's hard to get rid of it

Eat a high antioxidant diet (for skin health and elasticity in general) and do pectoral/shoulder strengthening exercises. The heavier the better.
-
Well, if your goal is weight loss, "dieting" does work, it is in fact the only thing that works. edit: unless you want to get technical and include people who exercise enough to lose weight without dieting, and people with hormone disorders etc
-
wrong :/ heavy lifting with few reps (as heavy as you can go for 5 reps, etc) is great for strengthening muscles and the central nervous system, and will NOT bulk you up. in fact, hypertrophy is more often seen in great rep ranges ie 8-15 OP, as a woman, you will not bulk up. I promise. You'd have to maintain an extremely…

bless the shirtless intermittent-fasters who always bestow truth in these threads skipping breakfast will no effect on your weight loss/weight gain unless you don't account for calories eaten/not eaten calories in calories out
-
MFP protein allowance is way too low and even if you upped it, it's really hard to ever eat "too much" though your poops might be tremendous
-
I would specifically avoid a product because Dr. Oz recommends it, he's a hack. I've never heard of green coffee though - is there any benefit besides caffeine? You can just take cheap caffeine tablets for that.

Really? Even at my local commercial grocery store (Sav-On in Canada) I was able to find a small selection of almond and hazelnut butters. I currently have a jar of Western Food (super budget Canadian brand) in my cupboard, which made me skeptical, but the only ingredient is almonds.

I find it varies greatly! I invested in a kitchen scale a long time ago and get much more accurate calorie results. Always weigh uncooked, as the weight of cooked meat can vary hugely (based on how much water is still in it).

lmao my sentiments exactly

Fair enough, I find the aspartame involved in a can of diet soda is worth the trade off but some people don't like it or their bodies don't handle it well. In that case, kick it entirely - for the amount of sugar in a can of soda, you could eat a tasty baked good WITHOUT high fructose corn syrup! Or better yet, no sugar at…

nope

Boo, can't find them at my grocery store. :( Are they high sugar for the protein?

The trend of eating quinoa is actually destroying the economy and livelihood of the countries in which it is grown. Typical white people appropriate something and ruin it for everyone else, see: http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,2110890,00.html and about a dozen other articles. quinoa used to be a poor man's…

Switch from soda to diet soda, no sugar! Really it's a compounding problem, the more sugar you eat the more your body craves it (and increases your appetite in general, see relationships between insulin and leptin/ghrelin, etc). You'll get sugar cravings pretty bad but soon they will subside, I promise. While it's true…

eating high fat foods can make calorie goals easier to achieve, as they 2x more calories per gram than carbs or protein. peanut butter, olive oil, nuts, all healthy sources of fat
-
telling someone to space out their meals posting about slimfast/beach body whatever as a 'coach'
-
good thing we're not mice lmfao. Until we get some peer-reviewed human trials up in this thread, I think it's safe to say that meal timing does not matter one bit. Unless, I guess, you have some new time-based version of hypothyroidism/pcos
-
high intensity interval training on an elliptical i hate cardio though so i usually just eat less instead
-
I think it's a gimmick that preys on desperation. Just eat less calories! Things like gluten and dairy can cause bloating, and cutting them out I guess can cause the illusion of weight loss.

slim fast shakes are expensive and you can achieve the same thing, with less garbage ingredients and sugar and money, with whey or casein shakes. slim fast has as much sugar as a chocolate bar and isn't healthy... you can do better. :)

beef jerky is my fave, preferably an organic/local brand that doesn't have lots of sugar like Jack Links or whatever. whip up a batch of sriracha deviled eggs and snack on them throughout the day! mozzarella sticks are not a high protein snack lol
