  • Awww your post really made me chuckle :) Great work on the weight loss, and I also get distracted by my newly found collar bones lol. Great work :)
  • Thanks for all your advice so far :) I agree, I think it's gonna take a lot of work and I think it has to come from inside really, I have a supportive boyf and friends and even so I still get down about my body! I feel like one of the reasons I put on so much weight was that I already thought I was fat and stopped trying,…
  • Charis in East Yorkshire :) feel free to add me anyone! x
  • Just have some! Incorporate it into your calories for the day. Everyone has different strategies to lose weight, if you like eating carbs then you don't have to give them up to lose weight if you don't want to, some people are happier giving them up and other people aren't. Trust me I eat bread everyday :)
  • DO NOT whatever you do eat 800 calories a day. Worst advice ever. Make sure you eat enough to sustain you activity levels and don't go hungry! Start slowly, begin cutting out things in your diet which aren't nutritious, like snack foods such as chocolate, cookies, crisps etc. Eat more protein, veg and complex carbs like…
  • I would echo the people above who say that you should start by feeling better about your body. I had to do this out of love for my body, not out of hate for it, or I wouldn't have got very far I don't think. One of the ways I did this was by avoiding 'thinspiration' and 'fitspiration' photos (while they work for some…
  • I'm still pretty slow (10.5 min mile) but I got up from a 12 min mile by doing shorter, faster 'tempo' runs, I would often do these on a treadmill but you can do them outside too. I usually do one shorter faster run, one medium slower run and one longer slower run a week. Not an expert, just what I found worked for me!
  • I'm in sunny East Yorkshire, hi :)
  • You really really don't have to think like this! If you enjoy chocolate, find a way to incorporate it into your calories. I've lost all my weight still eating chocolate, pizza, ice cream you name it... I go by the mantra of all things in moderation! If I had restricted myself from the things I loved I would not have made…
  • A US 0 is a UK 4 for comparison
  • Sounds like her own insecurities coming out there, I would take her comments with a large pinch of salt! You're marrying her son which might be making her nervous about losing her place in his life, and she's probably realising that she's not as young or slim as she once was and is taking it out on you. Not an excuse to be…
  • Whatever :)
  • That is so funny :) I have the opposite problem, when I lost weight the first thing that went were my boobs lol!
  • They look great, well done :)
  • I have weight watchers caramel wafers, morrisons nume brownies or morrisons nume chocolate mousses. Though I do have bars of dark choc too :)
  • I think I'd just leave those as part of your daily routine and not add extra calories for them, I never log stuff like that, just when I make a special effort to go for a walk and I put some energy into it :) Also I wouldn't worry if you aren't losing as fast as MFP predicts, a lot of people don't. Just lose in a way which…
  • My wedding is in July 2014 and the thought of those photos really put my health into perspective! I've still got 8lb to my main goal and then I want to be a UK 12 (not sure what weight that will be!) but I'm determined to keep up this healthy lifestlye long after the big day is over :) Anyone need any encouragement add me!…
  • Fantastic news, so happy for you!
  • With me it was trial and error, but I now know to avoid certain foods (alcohol, fizzy drinks, Caffeine, orange juice, cabbage and other veg like that, a lot of dairy, a lot of bread) but mostly it is caused by stress for me, sometimes any food at all will make it flare up! I got a table called Mebeverine from the doctors…

  • Thanks for all your replies! Lovely to hear from you all, friend requests added :) If anyone has any good ideas for not over-eating during the xmas season I'd love to know them! x
  • Hello :) I'm up in chilly Yorkshire! In the countryside near York. Good luck with your C25K, I did it earlier in the year when I was training for a 10k race, I haven't jogged outside a lot lately but I just got some new winter running clothes so I'll be joining you outside soon! X
  • Of course you're not gonna put on 5kg, you'll probs have some water retention from any sodium you had and the rest will be out of your system after a few days of eating right and exercising again. Just forget all about it, put it behind you and get back on track, no point feeling bad about it. Good luck!
  • Feel free to add me, at 235 days now :)
  • Friend request sent, anyone else feel free to add me too, at around 235 days logged now :) x
  • I'm kinda the same as you. My engagement ring is way too big and it's now on my middle finger, it's safer there and it was expensive so I'm not sure I trust it to get resized! But I'm getting married next year and it's important for me to wear a wedding ring so I'm gonna get one which fits nicely :) It really depends on…
  • I always wear underwear, just in case I get hit by a car or something while out running. What would the paramedics think lol?
  • So who are our bets on? I kinda think Kimberley is the most talented, but Frances is the nicest and Ruby will probably win....
  • Thanks for your help :) yeah I usually have showers not baths. Will definitely order some of those socks too. No, the nurse checked my blood sugar and it was fine, I think I just have bad circulation. I should probably ask a doctor if there is an underlying cause of that too.
  • Yessssss I always want to hibernate during winter! This will be my first year without nomming down hot choc and biscuits through til March, who knows who I'll handle it lol x
