I know how you feel! I have been there! One thing you can try is to not run your usual route and if you can get to a track or even some sort of a court (maybe a field if you are ok with grass-be careful with your ankles and knees in grass tho) it may help. Vary your running. Do a warm up jog around the track or court and…

Awesome NSV! Keep up the good work and the shopping sprees! =)

Non-Scale Victory. A way of measuring accomplishments without using the scale! Hope this helps!

Hi, I can't believe how many other tall women there are on here and how much we vary in weight and sizes. As for me...I am 5'11" and I currently weigh 210. My goal is 160-165 but I know that if I were honest I would much rather be 155-160. This would mean more lean muscle mass and less fat. But, the last time I weighed…

I too, am tall and have the exact same issue. I have found adding more meat than usual and a protein shake (as everyone else has mentioned) has helped, but I still am low on my cals. Especially when I work out. I think you know your body and if your body is not telling you that you are hungry then you should be fine. If…

Ok, here is my opinion. I wouldn't take it harsh or wrong. This is why...if I were to run into my ex I would really want my husband to look his best to put it in my ex's face that I am so much better off without him. I would want him to see my amazing husband for all that he is and to see that I am so happy and have an…

According to my OB-GYN 50% of women gain and 50% of women lose. My suggestion if you want to avoid the spikes and dips in your hormones to try the NuvaRing. It omits a steady dose of hormones so you don't get those moment of raging hunger. (at least for me and a few of my friends it did) Something to check into. Just feed…

Me too! Here are a couple of things I read about in Fitness Magazine (if you go on their website they have great exercises for posture). When you walk, run, sit, etc... remember your ABC's A= Abs...suck them in B= Butt...tuck it under C= Chest...stick it out with your shoulders down I make sure to do this especially when I…

Double check your carbs. I just came out of a 3 1/2 month plateau by keeping my carbs between 100-120 a day. I also make sure my sugar and sodium is kept in control (hard for me) and upped my calories by about 200. I ended up losing 4 lbs in 2 days once I made the switch! Good luck and it will come off quick!

I would count it. Your heart rate will stay up a few minutes after you are done jogging. I encourage you to log everything you eat and everything you burn just the same! You know the intensity of the workout you got!

I do the same thing and since I have had an HRM it has been easy to track but before then I used the following link and just added the weight of my son (27 lbs) to my weight and entered it then it gave me an approximate burn rate. Remember that the baby you are carrying is not the same as the extra weight on your body…

Any time I feel a change in my stride or my legs ache after a very normal run. It usually is around 300-400 miles for me. But honestly, I don't count all my miles to know exactly. I just can figure it out roughly. If you have any changes in how your foot feels or your legs (even hips and back can come into play) after you…

Yeah, I just decided to buy boobs to fit the bra and the body not a bra to fit the boobs and now I am working on the body. Only one problem, I should have waited until after I had my kids. None the less, I love the way they fit my body now =)

Could be muscle but also make sure that you are eating back alllllll of your calories and maybe even 100-200 more, your body needs to adjust to this and if you are following MFP standards for calories you could be consuming too little. Your body needs fuel when it works out. Also, watch your carbs! Sometimes when we…

I learned in college sports (10 years ago) and read again in a magazine a few months ago that you should eat within 90 min before your workout. Something small to give yourself the proper energy to workout. If you workout longer than 45 min you need to rehydrate with a sport drink and if you do marathon running (etc) you…

I LOOOOOOVVVVVEEEE these!! Klondikes are my all-time fav and their 100 cal bars are perfect!!!

Not sure where you live but if there is a golden spoon around you they serve the most delicious frozen yogurt. Get a mini and it is only 100 cals. They have amazing flavors... That's what I do but avoid toppings. (the yogurt is 25 cals an ounce for nonfat and like 27 or 28 for low fat flavors). Either that or buy a bag of…

I see a big difference, your waist is slimmer, your butt and thighs look tighter and overall you look a lot firmer! You can tell in your arms and face as well. I see a total body transformation taking place! You are doing awesome and NO wishful thinking here...you are doing it girl and you look great! Awesome job!

I looked into this because I had the same question. I just went online and searched for heart rate charts and the differences between both. Your target heart rate will be unique to you depending on gender, age, and weight. Once you have that range (mine is 122-162) you then can target calorie burning or fat burning. Fat…
